Yet another hit from Simon & Shuster and their corporate cousin "60 Minutes". Expect more until the elections are over.

Despite a publisher-enforced embargo, a copy of the book was purchased early at a Manhattan bookstore by a producer for MSNBC's "Countdown," a spokesman for the cable channel said. Program host Keith Olbermann began reading excerpts on his Wednesday show.

Another orchestrated hit job by the DBM.

No kidding. Evangelicals sell our collective souls in the market place and in the political arena.

If we focused our efforts on what we are called to do and not create a big Israel we wouldn't need to worry about everything else.

The assertions by David Kuo, a top official in the faith-based initiatives program

Definitely the wrong person for THAT job. I wonder what axe he has to grind.

I don't understand why the publication of these books and the subsequent appearance by the author on 60 Minutes and the other talk shows upsets people around here. They're just doing for guys like Woodward and Kuo what they did for Gary Aldrich.

Anything to demoralize the base. *sigh*

Considering the next Democrat administration will likely bring back public crucifiction, I'd say I'm pretty happy with the one we've got now.

TRANSLATION:
See. B.S. "news" and their buddies don't want evangelicals to vote in '06...so they come out with this crap a month before the election!!

LOL, it is so friggin' transparent...the headline should be that they think evangelicals are "nuts" and "goofy".

Give it up, LameStream Media.

If you're not used to being called a nut - or worse - you're probably not an evangelical.

imo, anyone who squeals this kind of stuff at an opportune time before an election has no honor and doesn't deserve an audience.

it's obvious that the main goal in this election is to demotivate Christians from going to the polls. the target audience for these hit pieces is the conservative base, not the moderate so-called swing vote.

it's only motivating me all the more.

Thanks for the complement.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Luke 6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Mark 3
(talking about Jesus)
21 And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.
22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

The DBM hasn't learned that this sort of garbage only energizes the base.

All these attempts to keep the Evangelicals away from the voting booth on election day makes me think that their influence on election results must be a pretty scary thing to the liberals.

The LAT and NYT are going to run at least a story every other day to keep conservatives from voting on Nov. 7. I wouldn't be too surprised to see this headline in the Sunday editions on Nov 5: Bush Called Jesus "Hitler". They are utterly predictable and really do think conservatives are as stupid and easily led as Democrat voters.

Hmmmm! Note the timing of this one! It will gradually leak out that it was friends of WH aides, then it will be .....well, a non-issue, after the election. To be honest, there are some "nuts" among us, making the rest look pretty bad, at times. I'm pretty sure that anyone could've made a similar remark, not meaning all evangelicals, but when is anything ever reported in its context?

Kimberly & David Kuo

Kuo, 36, served as a special assistant to the president for 2 1/2 years and was deputy head of the faith-based office from February 2002 to December 2003. Before joining the White House, he worked for several prominent conservatives, including John D. Ashcroft and William J. Bennett. But before that, he had been a campaign volunteer for former representative Joseph Kennedy (D-Mass.) and an intern for Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.).

OK, they've convinced me! I'm definitely not going to vote for G. W. Bush in 2008.

Wait a minute....

A liberal publisher rolls out another book designed to create dissension in the Republican ranks from another "top official" on the eve of the election. What are the odds?

And the hits just keep on coming.
