Just reported on CNN via South Korea television news.
The UN is completely corrupt and useless.
I'm just scared we're not going to do anything BECAUSE the donks have beaten Bush down so much. We had the fastest, easiest war in the history of war and the Donks have whined and tryied to weaken our position ever since.
I don't see us taking North Korea over in five minutes like we did Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm scared we won't have the nerve and if we do nothing here, Iran will be emboldened. Plus, we all know China isn't with us. I'm just genuinely scared we don't have enough adults in charge who care enough about this country to work TOGETHER to take care of this instead of trying to find a way to blame Bush and if we elect the dems, it will just get exponentially worse.
This is just completely depressing.
Clinton gave them the technology for nuclear power, yet never followed up to make sure they were not enriching uranium. They trusted the NK's at face value and failed us.
IF the history isn't written by a liberal idiot. I won't hold my breath, and neither will Mr. B.J. He'll be dead and buried before the truth is ever accepted AS truth.
Now the UN Security Council will meet, and (gasp!) PASS A RESOLUTION!
Oh, nooooooooooooo, not a resolution! The little gargoyle in North Korea will be shaking in his boots -- NOT!
How did NK bitch slap China? It serves the PRC's interest, to play power broker between the US and NK. As long as we are afraid of NK, we are afraid to offend our good friends the Chinese. While we are pre-occupied with NK, China builds a deep sea navy, a first class economy, and a nation with God knows how many million men of marrying age, with no women to match up with. NK does NOTHING, without the consent and approval of the PRC.
Rumor heard that Kimmy Jung Ill refers to his nuclear bomb as his "Jimmy/Maddy Gift"
"Most have not seen the terms of the deal where Clinton all but gave them the technology."
Nor have they considered the "agreements" brokered with Jimmuh Cahtuh and Madeline Not-so-bright, and how the little gargoyle smiled in their faces and shook their hands as he promised not to develop nuclear weapons, but he had his fingers crossed on his other hand behind his back.
How long did it take us to test a nuke and then use two of them? Capiche?
I don't know if you've read Atlas Shrugged but one of the things in it is that there are no contradictions and if you think there are, just check your premises.
You have it just right. China doesn't want negative consequences.
As for Japan, Japan has been under our nuclear shield/military protection for years now. The fact that they may have their own nukes soon doesn't change much.
The main question is what will we do about this? I suspect you and I both know the answer and I think they know it in Peking as well.
ARE YOU HAPPY NOW???
Yes, but if you talk it up enough, the idea may catch on.
When we attacked Iraq, Syria started playing nice (does anyone remember that?) and Kim Jong went into hiding. Now look what they are doing.
Libya gave up its nuke program. What will others do if they see N Korea gets away with it? I don't think there is any panacea for us in all this.
Typical responses. There were several accusing Rove of making this an October Surprise to knock Foley off the front pages. And of course, there were the obligatory posts blaming Bush for the fact that the Little Gargoyle ignored the promises he made the Clinton misadministration and developed these weapons anyway.
Reagan was a master of the bluff, and his tough talk really worked because our enemies never knew if he would carry out his threats or not. But today we don't necessarily need a man like that because it's far too late to talk, bluff or threaten. With the advent of North Korea's missile and nuclear tests we are suddenly thrust into a situation where we need a man with the courage to use the power at our disposal and fire off a few small, tactical nukes at NK's and Iran's nuclear facilities. If we fail to do this then our enemies will smell the fear. They'll continue to build their nuclear arsenals until we literally can't strike first without a retaliation from them that would be unnacceptable to us.
From this point forward there is nothing in the world that talking will accomplish; the barbarians are at the gates.
Just heard on Fox that Abe is already in South Korea for a "meeting"...
Spare me.
If Iran gets the Nuke, believe me, I'll blame Bush along with every Democrat and Republican that wouldn't endorse us going in to take them out.
But Clinton and Jimmy enabled North Korea and the Bush administration didn't have many options because of it. Other then nuking the whole damn country I suppose, but given China has their backs that wasn't a great option.
You blame them for this one, but count this poster out.
I still like the low tech $.75 option
TT
--I think we will encourage Japan to pursue nukes now, which will scare the hell out of the chinese, and they will cripple NK's program. I hope.--
That's right. The new nationalist Japanese PM, "Honest" Abe, is the right man at the right time to pursue just that kind of aggressive policy.
