The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has blocked enforcement of a state law that requires voters to show identification and would-be voters to submit proof of citizenship when registering to vote.
The general election is Nov. 7, The law had already been used for the Sept. 12 primary and in some municipal elections.
State Atty. Gen. Terry Goddard said he would appeal.

LOL
"Yes and I was asked to show ID and leave it to have a party at Chucky Cheese. I should sue for 1,000,000 tokens"
Sure, but it will still only buy you a pencil.
A while back I went to a new dentist and had to show an ID.
It would cut into their budget for cigarettes, beer and potato chips. They might have to select a less expect cable TV package or choose a 32" HDTV instead of the 60" one they really deserve.
$50/ year? It doesn't even cost that much. $25 for a first time license. Which doesn't expire until you're about 60. An i.d. is less than $10.
Supposedly the 9th Circus overturned the law without comment, but the lawyer's complaint was that it violated the 24th Amendment which prohibits the poll tax. Since a photo ID costs money, he's calling that a poll tax. But the law states that if you don't have a photo ID with your home address on it, you can bring in two other forms of ID with your name and address and no picture and still vote. So your electric bill and your voter ID card would be sufficient.
"Every qualified elector, before receiving his ballot, shall announce his name and place of residence in a clear, audible tone of voice to the election official in charge of the signature roster or present his name and residence in writing and shall present one form of identification that bears the name, address and photograph of the elector or two different forms of identification that bear the name and address of the elector."
Arizona Revised Statute 16-579.
The Secretary of State immediately told the Attorney General to appeal the ruling. But Terry Goddard will probably drag his feet, as another member said.
Utter Kalifornia insanity.
Yes, Marx should have said, "Consumption is the opiate of the masses."
Not only does the consumer society keep people distracted, but it ensures that they are so indebted that they dare not make a fuss lest they miss a paycheck.
as long as it wasn't a democrat who suggested it. lol

I bet Stephen Reinhardt's fingerprints are all over this one.
Sobering.
Illegal votes (from illegal voters) ARE the ONLY reason the democrats are spurring and encouraging illegal immigration heart, mind, and soul.
Look at the blue coutines strung all along the Mexican border to see it's influence and effect.
Red states, each with a bright blue border.
I too live in NJ and have to deal with the DMV, (oops, I think they call themselves the MVS now) with its 6 points of identification. I think it is a major hassle, but let me tell you I am always happy to know that I have all the ID required whenever I go there.
Voters should also have to produce the same ID. No questions, no ifs, ands or buts. Proof of citizenship which is a passport or birth certificate for those of us born in the USA and proof of citizenship from those born elsewhere but who have become citizens lawfully. In addition as at the Motor Vehicles offices in NJ, we need to provide a proof of residence to vote in the particular district. That should be a government issued document or ID or a utility bill.
Anything else and the answer is NO VOTE.
Since federal judges are appointed for life there are only two ways.
1. They die. (How is irrelevant to me but I DO NOT advocate anything illegal)
2. The President determines there is no use for that particular court and disbans it. He can do this WITHOUT consulting congesss. He can then a few days later realize he was wrong and reestablish the court and appoint new judges.
I'll bet the poor have no problem coming up with some form of ID to get welfare benefits. Oh wait. I forgot we provide those to noncitizens.
I know the constitution says all men are created equal, but aren't certain rights limited to CITIZENS?
I saw that and if I may ask, does RFK, Jr. have a problem with his voice?
