I remember when a 3-point move was significant, and it wasn't all that long ago.

Retract your claws. I wasn't referring to NASDAQ components or necessarily tech stocks, but non-indexed stocks. Sheesh.

zzzzzzzz, would be more interesting to see what the dow is at if it used the components that were in it in 2000. Additionally, I think such comparisons should take into account inflation since component stocks are priced in dollars.
it is good bread-and-circus headline material though.

Do you have a regular job? You call this a wild ride? I am sorry you still are having no luck at all on the content or the coherence requirement for posting here . Guess you might as well crawl back into bed. Today is a wash out for you. Do try again tomorrow.
In the future don't start out your posting acting like a punk and you will not be punked back. Do try behaving like an adult some day. Who knows, you might even come to like it.

Under Clinton: DBM reported Dow Jones quotes every day, even if it went up a point.

You know, if a Democrat was in the White House, all of the news channels would be falling all over themselves to get in front of a camera to tell us how wonderful the Democrats were and how it was their great leadership that did this. What are we hearing today????????????? I am sure it won't be this. Even Drudge barely mentions it.

Nancy Pelosi is "deeply saddened..."

I fear you have rattled the cages of some "Gold Bugs" with posting good market news, now stop that...lol.
PS...Some seem to blow this off as...big deal, its back to where it was 6 yrs ago.
I wonder how many more years it will take for the gold bugs to break even on their investments from 20 years ago?...lol.
