This message sent on behalf of Soulforce - I don't know why I received this in my email, but I'm glad I did I already have the number of the recruitment center and as soon as it opens I'm calling them to let them know they are being targeted by the libs.
I was wondering if we could get anything together from local freepers.

Right to Serve Tampa
Recruitment Center Sit-In
This Friday, October 6th at 10:00AM
765 W Brandon Blvd., Brandon
On October 6th, young gay Americans will attempt to enlist into the US Army in direct defiance of the 13-year-old government sanctioned discriminatory policy labeled Dont Ask, Dont Tell. With your support, these brave young people will not accept "no" for an answer. When they are denied consideration, all demonstrators will commence a sit-in.
They NEED your support! Come out and join in a peaceful protest. While some may be willing to get arrested, there will be ample opportunity for all demonstrators to disperse peacefully.
If you would like to be apart of this movement, please meet at the recruitment center at 10:00AM. A press conference will begin promptly at 10:30AM, followed by attempted enlistment at 11:00AM. The sit-in will begin after the applicants are rejected (approximately 10 minutes later).
The only way this will happen is with YOUR help, so please be there. Fairness, equality and the Right To Serve openly are worth a day off of work or out of school. An optional information session will be held TONIGHT, October 3rd at 5:30 pm in the Tampa Metro Center (6421 N. Florida Ave. Tampa, FL).
Also, you can visit www.righttoserve.org - and go the Tampa page under "Cities of the Campaign."

Well wouldn't it be a kick in the pants if the centers accepted their applications. ;o)
I still think they should call their bluffs and accept their enlistments. Put them through an uncomfortable 8 weeks or so of bootcamp. Then discharge them on don't ask, don't tell grounds.
Funny how they never protest or even blame the creator of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
"Well wouldn't it be a kick in the pants if the centers accepted their applications."
Yes! What a good idea! I think I'll suggest it to them.
As someone who has been called up and is currently on reserve duty I say the more the merrier, there is a shortage and we need every body we can get some lads have had there tours extended a few months out of country then back in again.
A young lads or women out there enlist today we need you.
Just to let all FR know I am ok, few days R an R
Great idea.I think I've seen that Marine recruit training has what's called a physical conditioning platoon for guys who can't meet PT standards.Put these clowns into that platoon for about 12 weeks.
I agree, Take their enlistments and place them in the Marine Corps. A few weeks at boot camp wont do them any harm.
man wouldn't it be a hoot if they got inducted into the us army!*LOL*
great to hear that, and thank you for your service. The real irony is that I support gays in the military, there are gays in the military now, and we're at war and I think it is a childish stunt to stage this sit in.
Not a chance in hell.
Can gay men be dirty for 8 weeks?
There is a shortage though we do need more troops.
We are relying more and more on reservists
Don't forget to watch for vandalism. They like to throw rocks and glue locks.
you know I posted this on the local chapter bulletin board but I think it must down. So I don't know if anyone from around here the brandon area of florida even knows about it!
This is a wonderful suggestions and if we can organize anything with our local freeper chapter I will certainly do it!
thanks!
We have had lone Freepers out there but I wish you help.
Really? Is there a "right" to serve in the military? I don't think so. I'd think any applicant would have to meet whatever the criteria are, and, if there are requirements, then it's not a "right."
