Bush honesty rating drops to lowest point
By Mark Murray Political reporter NBC News Updated: 12:45 a.m. ET July 14, 2005 WASHINGTON - The last two weeks certainly have been eventful ones in America and across the globe: President Bush gave a prime-time speech on Iraq and attended a G-8 summit in Scotland; Sandra Day OConnor announced her retirement from the Supreme Court (with perhaps another retirement on the way); and suicide bombers killed approximately 50 people in London. After these events, the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds that Bushs overall job rating has slipped and that his rating for being honest and straightforward has dropped to its lowest point.

There is no way I consider this an accident...and I am sure that I'm not the only one who noticed this.
Obviously.. you are so determined to carry water against Bush that you don't care how ridiculous you look.
If I was discouraged from voting in November before, I am now angry enough to crawl over glass to vote..to prevent you from getting your obvious wish.
And I thought they only recycled old topics!
I don't know how anyone can get through to these numb skulls..President Bush could care less about any poll numbers..I think the MSM has him confused with the Clinton's..They did nothing until they got the poll numbers for the day..Well they still did nothing unless it lined their pockets with gold..
Wha' the hay??? This article is more than a year old!
Things must be pretty slow in the newsroom if they have to rehash items from over a year ago. That's pretty pathetic.
did you actually send this to MSNBC?
It's really gonna be a hoot until 2009!
Lessee, every major network and Newspaper carries and trumpets Bob Woodward for days on end saying Bush lied about Iraq, then they just happen to be in the process of taking such a poll.
The treasonous left will not get their wish, and dammit fellow conservatives, after we win this election, we need to nail these m'fkers to the wall...from Murtha to Woodward to Mattews to Reid...
Media Schadenfreude and Media Shenanigans PING
This BULLZOGBY is worthless without a poll of those same exact adults over the media's honesty rating.
LYING LIARS!
Great find and great point!
Let me take your headline and make an observation: I do think President Bush has made a few mistakes related to "honesty":
1. He and his father have been way too "nice" in honoring the SOB known as "42". This may seem tactful, but such gestures have been spurned and are now not appropriate in the future.
2. W was WAY too nice in honoring George Tennant: the CIA has been a travesty in its intelligence failures before and after 9/11, and most of the agency seems bent on undermining the president and his administration.
3. Richard Clarke was a turncoat and a liar. The Bush Administration should have removed all Clintonoids as soon as they "transitioned" -- much harm could have been avoided if W had ridded his administration from all those hold-overs.
4. We need to continue the principled approach to our international affairs by calling a spade a spade: if we know WMDs were buried in Syria, let's say so and pressure the appropriate parties to investigate.
5. Lastly: get out the veto pen, George, and start using it!
JMHO.
