Where'd all the "It's Just Sex"Democrats Go

The Seattle Times reports "House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wants the House Ethics Committee to put Republican leadership under oath to find out what they knew about Congressman Mark Foley's inappropriate communications with Congressional pages."

In a statement, Minority Senate leader Harry Reid (D) described the allegations against Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL) as 'repugnant.' "Equally as bad," the Nevada Democrat said, "is the possibility that Republican leaders in the House of Representatives knew there was a problem and ignored it to preserve a Congressional seat this election year."

Now wait a minute...

Then President Bill Clinton had not been sending inappropriate suggestive emails and instant messages to a young intern, an act certainly repugnant no matter the authors' politics. He had reduced the previously revered Oval Office, to just a personal sexually perverted play pen.

I don't know what "evidence" there is. But I don't equate sex between two adults to that between a child and an adult. No matter how much this author tries to do such.

Actually, in Washington DC you can. The age of consent there is 16.

So, can we guess which party has worked to lower the age of consent across our (once) great land? This'll be a tough one...think hard...

IMing an underaged page with sick sexual messages is worse than getting _____ from a full grown woman.

Exactly. .

Once considered a bright prospect for joining other Kennedys in a political career, Michael [Kennedy] suffered a fall from grace last spring when it was alleged he had an affair with his family's underage baby sitter.

Ever notice...
1) Republicans are "pedophiles" when they send salacious emails to boys who are old enough to legally have sex, but
2) Democrats "have affairs" when they have physical relationships with underage girls.

Since when is an Instant Message equivalent to sex?

I think the kid was 16, which may or may not be underage. I think Monica was 21. In both cases, they were sick to try to take advatage of the situtation. Foley's is probably sicker, but Clinton's probably had a bigger negative impact on the individual. Getting a dirty text message is probably not a life altering event, especially in this age of the internet.

My suggestion is that Ken Mehlman should take the lead on this one and make a statement that since the Republican Party cannot seem to ever handle these situations to suit the Democrats, we will use the Democrat handling of similar incidents as a precedent and follow their lead ---censor and move on, unless the Democrats in Congress would like to revisit some of their own scandals, such as the involving Barney Frank.

As Clinton wagged his finger in the nose of every American, assuring the world that he "did not have sex with that woman", he and his closest advisors knew better. As he sat under oath before a court committing outright perjury before a world-wide audience, Democrats stood firmly at his side, crying foul, insisting that any lie about sex isn't a lie at all really.

When former New Jersey Governor James McGreevey was busted cheating on his wife and family with a young male office assistant, Democrats again rushed to his side

Democrat Representative Barney Franks didn't get busted sending private messages to his boy friend - he was busted paying a male prostitute for services. He was busted while using his elected position of power to clear his boy friend from his felony past, with convictions for cocaine possession, oral sodomy and "production of obscene items involving a juvenile."

I want to see more of this guy's stuff -- he's right on every call...

The Democrats held the INSTANT MESSAGES until the day after his name could not be changed.

Now they are using bait and switch to confuse the vanilla emails with the INSTANT MESSAGES.

Dinsaur media does not know about technology or worse is unethically complicit in furthering public confusion over the two.

HOW MANY NEWS STORIES ARE DIVULGING C.R.E.W. is funded by SOROS?

HOW MANY NEWS STORIES ARE DIVULGING THE CLINTON WAR ROOM IS BACK UP AND RUNNING?

HOW MANY NEWS STORIES ARE NOW DIVULTING THE DEMOCRATS ARE ENGAGED IN THE POLTICS OF PERSONAL DESTRUCTION???

There is one difference here...Clinton was banging a legal age chick....Foley was trying to get into the pants of a 16 yo boy

Foley wrote about it...Clinton did it...and accosted women like Kathleen Willey.

And gave government jobs to his girlfriends.

And committed perjury about sex.

And probably raped a woman. Which one is worse?

What a simple minded joker this brain dead Pelosi is. And looking to be speaker of the house? Damn, America better get their thinking caps on.

If monica were 16, bill would have resigned.

If this page were 18, the Dems would be celebrating Foley and asking him to joint their party.

Yep...and the ironies are endless. Why can't Republicans see the Democrats for the enemy they really are...and take the fight to them like they do every other threat to this country. Hell, Democrats do this every day...treating Republicans as a bigger threat than even the terrorist scum.

I think Monica was 21

IIRC, I think she was reported to be 19 at the time. But there is a question as to whether she was really 18 when the whole thing started.

Has it been established that the Foley page was 16 at the time of the IMs?
Weren't the IMs sent after he left his post?

I'm in no way condoning Foley's actions. He's a sicko, but I want to be sure the dims and MSM aren't blowing this out of proportion. (pun?)

Monica was born in 1973 and became an intern in 1995. She was either 21 or just turned 22 when she started with Clinton.
