See what I wrote in #41, tomorrow is the end of the month, quarter and many fiscal years. Traders are going to be locking in profits. I think the record is about two weeks off. I think we will break 12,000 in October and assuming there are no "glitches" we should be at about 12,500 by the end of the year.

I vote for this to be in the Breaking News Sidebar.

You are full of crap. Even the lowest earners are feeling the improved economy. Cavuto, Krauthammer, Barnes, Hume, and others have all stated the governement figures on the current state of affairs. You sound just like pelosi... do you look like her?

It's all a matter of where you put your money. Check out the history of the Dodge and Cox balanced fund. It's track record is nothing short of miraculous. It has been around since 1939. I am not pushing the fund here since it is closed to new investors.

Woo hoo! For a moment I though you meant it passed 12,000, but this is great. And Clinton must be even more livid. He thought Dow 11,000 was all because of him. >:-)

Not to mention that the "poor" in America live better than the middle class does in Europe.

Thank you President Bush. And may I remind everyone that McCain voted AGAINST the tax cuts.

I think we might see it close above the all-time mark today or tomorrow, I don't think that Oct/Nov are likely to be that great, of course I could be wrong.. I am personally expecting things to drop again and provide another buying opportunity...

Anyone think that if Jimmy Carter had been president during 9-11 and Katrina, that the Dow would be at about 5,000 right now?
