A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

So we're here to banish those doldrums and make you smile inside! Please feel free to post sweet graphics and/or little stories that make you feel all warm and fuzzy - or just come by and give us a smile. Only two more days 'til the weekend!

Thanks for the presidential pix w/pets Eleanor. I am recalling that all of the recent presidents have had dogs? but I can't be certain of that..

I am sure that POTUS still misses spotty.. That pooch had a special place in his heart

Neat Pix! sorry I was gone all day & didn't respond sooner. Does Angus just not like Snicky? or is jealous? old an cantankerous?

When Josy was gone for the 2 days, Toby seemed pretty happy actually (as oposed to when Oliver died).. He didn't have anyone to share me with & didn't have a wild young pup jumping on him, biting him & shepherding him continually.

When we got her back he didn't seem happy at all.. Just went in corner & got out of the way.

Please, Dolly, don't say you are sorry. I know how busy you are.

In all honesty, Angus can be a pain in the neck. Prior to Snicky's hospilization he always thought he was "top cat" even though much smaller than Snicky...Greg, Sarah and me. He has an attitude at times...yet other times so loveable. He keeps us on our toes...yet...the squirt bottle is very close. A very strange cat..yet..such a sweetheart. He reminds me of ME!! LOL

Sorry I missed you earlier.. I was out all day biking & then doggie walking & have dinner date tonight. It is tough being single, but someone has to do it!!!!

:-)

Good for Jack... it is a wonderful thing that you can share with him. All the men I know that were scouts really felt it made a big difference in their lives & the ones whose dads participated with them even more so.

Kudos to you FRiend!

Well yet another one that I wish I had for my sunrise sunset thread! Did you take that? I love to do macros of flowers, bugs etc. A wonderful effect with the sunset shining through.

Thank you.

That is REALLY a sweet pix Meg and the table framing matches the chair perfectly ... nice job, as we have come to expect & appreciate from you.

I took a couple hundred pix today & some warm fuzzies for sure. Not sure how late I will be tonight.. BUT, hopefully will get them posted here... A sweet turtle (not too warm & fuzzy but cute as a button); a female mallard in water, 3 minature Pomeranians on the towpath; a blue heron.. so many more..

Now did kitty learn all of that from you or did you just attract each other with your similarities?

:-)

That biking pix is a riot Maj!!!! Thank you!

WE did just under 30 miles today. Glorious day & we would have done more but we stopped often to take pix & I got a super massage at one of the stops. Between the massage & the biking my back is really much better this evening.

Trust me. Angus has his own personality. I don't let him get away with nastiness. Therefore, he ( might) respect me more than others in the family...dog, cats, humans, included. After all, I feed him so I do have the upper hand.
