Sen. Hillary Clinton has spoken up in support of her husband Bills defense of his anti-terror efforts, saying shes tired of Democrats being pushed around on national security issues.
"I just think that my husband did a great job in demonstrating that Democrats are not going to take this, she said on Monday in remarks reported by Newsday.
In a heated discussion with Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday, Bill Clinton said that as president, he did more than many of his conservative critics to pursue al-Qaida, and alleged that President Bush didnt try to stop terrorism in the eight months of his presidency before the 9/11 attacks.
Hillary agreed, adding: "All you have to do is read the 9/11 commission. I thought all he did was state what had been repeatedly found in the various studies that have taken place.
Hillary continued: "I'm certain that if my husband and his national security team had been shown a classified report entitled 'Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States,'" Clinton said, "he would have taken it more seriously than history suggests it was taken by our current president and his national security team."
Curiously, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice also referred to the commission in ripping Clintons claims and defending the Bush administrations efforts against terrorism: "I would just suggest that you go back and read the 9/11 commission report on the efforts of the Bush administration in the eight months . . .
"The notion somehow for eight months the Bush administration sat there and didnt do that is just flatly false and I think the 9/11 commission understood that.
In any case, even conservatives like Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol see political benefits in Clintons headline-grabbing counterattack on his critics. He said: "In this interview, Clinton rallied Democrats. He reminded them of their talking points on Bush's alleged passivity in his first eight months in office . . .
"If the Bush-Rove war-on-terror offensive stalls out this week . . . and Democrats do well in November, Bill Clinton can take credit, at a crucial moment, for discrediting the terror issue as a mere political ploy, and showing Democrats how to fight back.

"Hillary continued: "I'm certain that if my husband and his national security team had been shown a classified report entitled 'Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States,'" Now wait just a minute, didn't bill tell us we were getting a two-fer when he was elected? Whatever bill saw, hillary saw. And if the real truth ever came out, SHE was the one running it all, not bill. But we already know that.

Kristol is correct-but, wrong on which side will reap the benefits.
The Democrat loons are at the same fevered pitch as always.
It's the conservatives who have had the hair on the back of their necks raised by the specter of these two back in power.

With *cough cough* conservatives like this who is concerned with what the Clintons are spewing.

Supposed to be good cop bad cop.
Turned out to be bad bad B!tch and her hand puppet the one and only moronic Billy Jeff Klinton.
It's a wonder we even had a government after the Klintons and their minions the likes of the ugliest woman in the world Madam Allbrite.

I remember, so the question today is What did Hillry know and When did she know it? It has become quite evident that the only thing BJ knows is what Richard Clarke wrote in his book.
I think Bill Clinton invoked the name Richard Clarke 11 times in his temper tantrum.
Did Richard Clarke report directly to Hillry and is she the one that filtered down to Bill what she thought he needed to know, cause we all know he was other *wise* occupied. He had to pay a price for playing with Monica, so exactly how much power did Hillry get to yield?

"he would have taken it more seriously than history suggests it was taken by our current president and his national security team."
Oh, Hillary, shut up! Your husband is now irrelevant to dealing with terrorism. Asking Bill Clinton how to deal with terrorism is akin to asking James Buchanan how to deal with Southern secession.

Can't push around the maniac who's in full meltdown...lol. And he has been caught in MULTIPLE lies in his little tantrum. And this time the MSM can't just brush them off.

"In any case, even conservatives like Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol see political benefits in Clintons headline-grabbing counterattack on his critics." Everybody who believes that Bill Kristol is still a conservative after this stunt, raise your hand.
Even the "neo-con" smear didn't put Bill Kristol off. He stands there alone, with the clintonistas, with no clothes on.......

Put some ice on Hillary. Bill's eruption finished your ambitions. And I don't mean the one he left on the blue dress.

Sorry Hag, but that classified report ended up in Sandy Berger's fruit-of-the-looms it seems....
