I know I'll probably get flamed for saying this, but.....

after seeing "Path to 9/11", and along with other things I've read, I believe Clinton was NOT the only one who FAILED the American people. There were many, many different parts of the govt who failed us. Plus, people need to remember that OBL is not the ONLY one who wants to destroy us.

That's one of the reasons O'Neill left the FBI and went to head security in the WTC. He was frustrated big time.

The one good thing I'll say is that AT LEAST BUSH DID NOT HESITATE TO RETALIATE!

I don't think you'd be flamed for telling the truth. Dubya didn't do enough to capture/kill bin Laden prior to 9/11 either. Were there extenuating circumstances? Yes, but not enough in my book. However, we're looking at 8 months for Dubya versus 96 months for Clinton, in which time he had UBL IN HIS SIGHTS and did nothing. I don't know if Dubya had that opportunity. Something tells me, though, that if he had he would have acted on it decisively.

I'd have to agree with you that if Bush were on the other end of the line when the question was asked, he'd have said take him.

I remember telling my son right after the attack that I was angry at my government reps. He wanted to know why. I told him I felt betrayed that they would have allowed this to happen.

I thought we were so well prepared and had the latest technology that this shouldn't have been able to happen.
