Watching Nancy pelosi and Charlie Rangel defend Bush against the psychotic rantings of Chavez makes me laugh. One can come to only one conclusion: with the midterms seven weeks away and with the public making a quick turn to the right over recent events, even stone leftists like Pelosi and Rangel know when it's time to sing a different tune. Weren't these two only recently parroting all the nutbag slogans? "Bush lied, people died;" "Bush is the world's greatest terrorist;" "Bush is destroying the planet for his business buddies;" "Bush is manipulating oil prices;" etc. etc. How sweet to hear the Left's tunes change so suddenly. The next seven weeks are going to be a carnival.
"Soundbite, News at 11pm. Business as usual tomm."
Agreed. Let's not get two excited about Rangel and Pelosi sounding like they have common sense and got overcome with a streak of patriotism.
I think Rangel got worked up because an out of towner took over the porch of his plantation in Harlem and a Democratic strategy team likely told the brainless Pelosi that this was a Churchillian moment for her to look Speaker-like.
Anyone got a tent for this circus?
I called the offices of both of these socialist knobs and told their staffers that I was offended at their disingenous and hypocritical comments re: Chavez and his blatherings, since they both had made the same kind of comments consistently over the past 5 years.
Both of the staffers told me that I was full of crap and hung up on me.
Oh, well!
More than a lot it's a sh!t load, kinda of reminds me of when in the movie "Back To the Future", Biff and co.(pelosi and co.) go after Marty McFly, and they run into a manure truck.
I guess Piglossi (Skeletor) and wrangle are true believers? Halluejah and come to Jesus.
DId you hear the (D) City Counselman from Rangel's district......Went on an on about how great Chaves was and really put down both Rangel and Pulosi.
Although I am happy with their comments and must give them kudos for saying what they said and with such definitive clarity.
Smell the coffee?
No, they feel some pressure from the electorate that Chavez's attack was on the Presidency and they felt bound to say something in that regard.
As Rush said, Rangel (and Pelosi) are in safe districts, so it is politically obligatory for them to step up and say someting.
It is politics more than them waking up to 'coffee'.
When people see the Dims for what they are, they reject them. It always backfires when they are found out.
Can they be more obvious??? What a joke! They say the same thing in so many words every day.
Huey did the one thing that they're really afraid of - he got them laughed at.
I know he was speaking to a Chamber of Commerce, but it was a Hispano Chamber of Commerce, so it wasn't a Republican crowd by any measure.
Anyway, he spoke primarily about lowering taxes (!) and encouraging Government breaks for businesses (!!)
Then our lefty mayor took the podium and said how he used to be leftist, but being mayor has shown him how we have to cut taxes (!) and support traditional family (Hispanic) values!
When Democrats start sounding like Republicans, you know we are on the right side of the argument. Thing is, (real) Republican believe it and Democrats just say it to get elected. But the fact that they are saying it at all means that they are worried.
I'll pass on kudos, for they will quickly turn around and say the very same things about President Bush themselves.
As usual the democrats are playing Twister.
Charle you pur your hand on green, nance the spinner says you put your hand on red, howie no where does it say on the spinner that you put your hand on your crouch even though hugo chavez is in the house.
Good point.
The Rangel and Pelosi method: Step 1...wet index finger...Step 2...hold finger up in air....Step 3....check wind direction...etc.
Rush was all over this today. Playing sound bites of the Dems previous rants that were the same as Hugo's rants. I didn't hear all of it because I was in and out of the car but what I did hear was great.
