From Mattlet Scene 5, Act 1
Matt {holding the Nielsen up to the moon}: Alas, poor Couric! I knew her well, Katie, a gal of infinite left, of most excellent bias. She hath bored me on this a thousand times, and now how more bored in my imagination it is! My views rise at it. Here hung those cheeks that I have kissd I know not how oft. Where be your spin now, your soft balls, your mewlings, your flashes of leg, that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one now to mock your own grinning - quite proct-falln. Now get you to my Rathers chamber, and tell him, let him forge a new font, to this favor he must come; make him laugh at that. Prithee, Roker, tell me one thing.

For years and years I've always watched my local CBS affiliate for local news. I'm making it a point to go about 3 minutes into the Katie show before I turn the station. I'm hoping that I register as one who is actively turing her off.
Her "show" is really, really bad.

For the first few days, people were curious. But they've known for years that she's a lightweight. It won't be long before we see her doing a lounge act atop a piano,a la Connie Chung.

I'm sure there is heated meeting taking place this morning at CBS about how these falling ratings are because "we aren't liberal enough".

Butt Katie's fuzzy cheeks and soft ball (questions) are kept in pubic (er, public) view, weren't they?

CBS Evening News appears on British television at 12:30 AM. It helps me get to sleep if I'm suffering from insomnia.

Maybe she can have a nightly special on religion in America, rather than "America Speaks". You know, like what the Iranian president said at the end of his UN speach.
To: Babu
Seldom if ever watch any of the mainstream media. About all I'm interested in is local news, sports and weather. For the really hard national/international news, cable (Fox especially) or internet is the way to go for me.
And I learn a lot from the FreeRepublic and its members.

Wonder how many are turning her off and NOT turning to one of the other nets news? She could be hastening the demise of all the network nightly news programs.

Is this any real surprise to anyone here? She's all flash and no bang. Nothing to see here, move along.
And who watches this drivel? Libs. And apparently they are not watching much anymore either.
Clean out your desk and pick up your last paycheck Katie. You will go down in history as the most short lived show on CBS.

I'm making it a point to go about 3 minutes into the Katie show before I turn the station. I'm hoping that I register as one who is actively turing her off. In order to get true ratings, I was under the impression one's television had to be connected to a Neilsen box. Has technology surpassed the old way of rating audiences viewership? If so, I want to know so I won't ever tune in to certain programs, even if its just to poke fun.
