USC Complains About ABC's Musburger

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Southern California formally complained that ABC-TV's Brent Musburger revealed privileged information in play-by-play commentary during Saturday's game against Nebraska.

The university sent a letter to ESPN, which oversees sports programming on ABC, saying Musburger, with less than 10 minutes to play and the Trojans leading 21-10, began describing how USC quarterback John David Booty lets receivers know he has spotted a certain kind of coverage.

Have you ever been to USC? Sampled the any of the "cesspool's" academics? Do you even realize that for a University, USC is actually more conservative than most? Or do you base your entire opinion on the words "Southern California"? You refer to "my schools", which makes me believe its true. You want commie fags, go to Berkeley. You want good education and good sports, go to USC.

...hey dude....I was on your side and still am...but all the commie fags are mostly the town of Berkeley, as much as the University...and expatgator is a moron....but hey, don't talk about good education and diss Beserkely, we are the number one public university in the world....have more grad programs in the top ten then any other university... and ranked higher then you fine folk academically....so now that we got that out of the way.....if this expatgator had ever been to Calif as he says, he'd know that Calif is more then what he reads in the news....besides....his alma mater is ranked 47th in the nation to USC's 27th.....so the west coast "fag" school....haha....at least has more academic achievement in between downs........SEE ya in NOV......Go Cal......

Okay, okay. I concede. :-) Believe it or not I just moved back to LA from Walnut Creek and I have a good friend going to Berkeley who I visited all the time. There's some pretty weird stuff going on up there, especially in the Liberal Arts programs. But your science, math and engineering are second to none. My friend is an engineering major and he's busy creating Artificial Intelligence in his spare time. But I agree, most of the "fag commies" are the people hanging around town who don't actually GO to the school and are just trying to relive their glory days.

Ahh crud... Just last week ABC did their College Gameday show from where???? Where??? yep... USC, knowing full well that the most important game of the week was where... yep... Auburn...

Just like a few years ago when Auburn went undefeated and still ended up in 3rd place not playing for the big one... ESPN has kissed USC in every place that is to be expected in California... Heck the only team I can think of that is more pampered is N.D.

Granted USoCal is strong academically, but if it is conservative (as a previous poster posits) what would one call Auburn, Clemson and most other SEC schools? Although I must say that FSU is known as Berkeley East, but of course they are in the ACC.

Hello, Everyone:

I have a rant with two points.

1. If there is a rule at FR that whenever a post discusses Ann Coulter there should be pictures of Ann, then I think there should be another rule that whenever a post discusses USC, then there should be pictures of USC cheerleaders. I'd prefer images of the women, but in the interests of respecting diversity it's okay if images of men are also posted. If I knew how to include images in a post, I'd handle this, but I'm a techno dweebie.

2. Brent Musburger is a media bonehead who should be permanently banned from the booth. As a loyal WVU fan I have been regularly outraged by Musburger's racist stereotyped statements about West Virginia when he's in the broadcast booth. He simply invents "story lines" and "game narratives" based on his clearly limited experiences and interactions. He is an idiot.
