Yes indeed. Bush wants the truth from the generals (and the ambassador) and not just hear what they think he wants to hear. He trusts their statements and their judgment.

Bush: We have to be invited by Pakistan. Best way to find so meone hiding is to enhance intel and then when you find him, bring him to justice . Urban myth that administration hasn't stayed focused on OBL. Forget it. It's a convenient throw away line. We've stayed on the hunt and we'll stay on the line.
Mushareff doesn't like AQ. They tried to kill him. We've had a good record of bringing people to justice from within Pakistan.
