This past Friday I went back to Walter Reed, hoping to get some more interviews with the Code Pink protesters. But Bruce Wolf, the Code Pink bouncer, is on to my game.
Bruce: Sir, please leave... Im not trying to be fascist or something...
SMASH: No, hopefully not! Nobody wants that...
Bruce: But its making people feel uncomfortable... Were not here to do interviews... What were thinking about, to be really honest, are the soldiers. You know, whether you believe us or not, thats what were here for... when soldiers come out, we like to talk to them, because we know that they need to I mean, its healthy for them. They can say whatever they want, but just to be able to speak their minds. We have no problem with that. We communicate, and they can tell us whats going on. But, thats 'cause were here for them.
So I leave the protesters alone.
About an hour later, two wounded soldiers from Walter Reed, P.D. and Mason, go down to talk to Code Pink. I catch them as they're headed back, and ask how they were received by the protesters.
Mason: They wouldnt even talk to us! How are they supporting us, if they wont even talk to us, or look us in the eye?
P.D.: The general attitude was, they were kind of pushing us out. Wouldnt talk to us. Just blowing us off.
SMASH: Had you identified yourselves as soldiers from Walter Reed?
P.D.: Oh, yeah...
Mason: Oh, yes sir. We had told them all about our background. I served in Iraq. He served in Afghanistan and Iraq. We were patients at the hospital. That we were just curious... But that did not seem like a good answer to them.
P.D.: They were closed-minded. They have their beliefs, and they wont even open their minds to what we believe.
SMASH: They werent interested in dialogue?
P.D.: Exactly.
Mason: The majority of em, ninety-nine percent of em, didnt even look us in the eye. Wouldnt even turn and acknowledge our presence.
P.D.: Yeah, they wouldnt even turn around and look at us.
SMASH: Do you feel that theyre being sincere when they say they support the troops?
P.D.: I dont feel they are.
Mason: One or two, maybe. But the majority, no. Not at all. I mean, if you really support the troops, as we said before, youd turn around and talk to us. Acknowledge us. You know, all these people here (indicates the pro-troops rally), we walked out, and they said "thank you," you know, "how are you feeling?" Those guys (indicates Code Pink) say, "Dont talk to them." That guy (indicates Bruce) literally came out and said, "Dont talk to them."
Is this what Code Pink calls "supporting the troops?"
Much more, including audio, at the link.
Well, you're probably not going to like this. Lady Heather is a recurring character who is a dominatrix, and could also be described as the madam of a brothel of dominatrixes (sp?) though those who enjoy that sort of thing would probably object to the term "madam" and "brothel." One of her employees was murdered in an early episode.
If it's any consolation, she's quite lovely...
Excellent post!
Hmmmm...
I was wondering why I was having so many hits on my blog after someone googled "Lady Heather". Hah! LOL!
$600,000 IIRC.
The members of Code Pink are truly homely.
Do we remember the source for this information?
Do we respect the "Consitutional rights" of traitors? Because that is what the Code Pinkos are.
Hey! Stop insulting the homely!
Ok, they are beastley!
Thats the quandry we live in now...If they knew that there would be zero consequence to those of us who are insulted by their protestations and disrespect to those brought in to that and to any facility that provides the support and healing to them...
I bet you a dollar to a donut hole that they (Code Pink) would not be there, much less be a ripple on anyone's pond...
One thing I want to point out, is that I just saw a program on a cable channel called "Tour of Duty, Iraq ER"...
Its on the Military Channel on most cable providers scheduling...
If you see this program, you will know and understand the many aspects of my passion about this issue...
Some of those wounded folks ended up at Walter Reed...And when the program ended up showing some scenes arouns the facility, I wanted more to see folks like SMASH and the other countering the slime in those clips...
I bet the wives of some of the wounded waiting to finally see their husbands there would have some choice words for Code Pink...

BUT, the links are probably expired. I will look for where I saw it before I came to FR.

As most of you already know, I was part of a delegation, put together with extraordinary care by Medea Benjamin and Chris Michael of Global Exchange in San Francisco. We traveled to Amman, Jordan, with medical supplies, blankets, heaters and water purifiers for the refugees in the camps outside Falluja. Global Exchange received donations of medications from a large pharmaceutical company as well as small donations of supplies and cash valued at $600,000."

Straight from the horses' mouths. They should be arrested.
Code Pink are cowards. Not looking a person in the eye is proof enough they don't believe their own bs and know it is morally wrong to go against another human being especially one that is defending you. Could it be that some of these so called communists really believe the opposite of what they are touting?
BTTT. Thanks again for your efforts SMASH.
Seems to me ol' Bruce the "Bouncer" needs a good ass kickin'.
A REAL tribute from our troops on the front line to all the lefties!!!!!!!!

Absoultely. But unfortunately, we stopped arresting people for treason a long time ago. Otherwise, Jane Fonda would be selling the Federal prison exercise program.
Traitors.
