This past Friday I went back to Walter Reed, hoping to get some more interviews with the Code Pink protesters. But Bruce Wolf, the Code Pink bouncer, is on to my game.
Bruce: Sir, please leave... Im not trying to be fascist or something...
SMASH: No, hopefully not! Nobody wants that...
Bruce: But its making people feel uncomfortable... Were not here to do interviews... What were thinking about, to be really honest, are the soldiers. You know, whether you believe us or not, thats what were here for... when soldiers come out, we like to talk to them, because we know that they need to I mean, its healthy for them. They can say whatever they want, but just to be able to speak their minds. We have no problem with that. We communicate, and they can tell us whats going on. But, thats 'cause were here for them.
So I leave the protesters alone.
About an hour later, two wounded soldiers from Walter Reed, P.D. and Mason, go down to talk to Code Pink. I catch them as they're headed back, and ask how they were received by the protesters.
Mason: They wouldnt even talk to us! How are they supporting us, if they wont even talk to us, or look us in the eye?
P.D.: The general attitude was, they were kind of pushing us out. Wouldnt talk to us. Just blowing us off.
SMASH: Had you identified yourselves as soldiers from Walter Reed?
P.D.: Oh, yeah...
Mason: Oh, yes sir. We had told them all about our background. I served in Iraq. He served in Afghanistan and Iraq. We were patients at the hospital. That we were just curious... But that did not seem like a good answer to them.
P.D.: They were closed-minded. They have their beliefs, and they wont even open their minds to what we believe.
SMASH: They werent interested in dialogue?
P.D.: Exactly.
Mason: The majority of em, ninety-nine percent of em, didnt even look us in the eye. Wouldnt even turn and acknowledge our presence.
P.D.: Yeah, they wouldnt even turn around and look at us.
SMASH: Do you feel that theyre being sincere when they say they support the troops?
P.D.: I dont feel they are.
Mason: One or two, maybe. But the majority, no. Not at all. I mean, if you really support the troops, as we said before, youd turn around and talk to us. Acknowledge us. You know, all these people here (indicates the pro-troops rally), we walked out, and they said "thank you," you know, "how are you feeling?" Those guys (indicates Code Pink) say, "Dont talk to them." That guy (indicates Bruce) literally came out and said, "Dont talk to them."
Is this what Code Pink calls "supporting the troops?"
Much more, including audio, at the link.
BTW, all this "Thank you for your service" is best done by direct action, or indirect words that do not ever put a combat veteran in the position of having to politely respond "you're welcome".
IMHO.
They just use them to further their agenda.
"Bruce is OPEIU Local 2 representative. They don't hold it much anymore, but OPEIU Local 2 is listed as a sponsor of the Walter Reed protests called by Code Pink.
You'll also see Bruce marching in Worker's World Party sponsored anti-war/anti-America marches carrying the OPEIU Local 2 banner."
And Union members wonder why so many people have no respect for the Unions or the members who run around quoting the Dem talking points - all the while clearly having no idea what is really going on around them. These are the same people who believe that President Bush is somehow responsible for the fiasco that followed Hurricane Katrina - stupid is as stupid does.
Unions are a communist tool.
Grrr. I can't begin to tell you how this pi$$es me off.
Can't wait til I can tell some Code Pinkos to Get LOST.
In person.
Getting my FReep on as we speak...
Thanks for all you do, Citizen.
God Bless our C-I-C and our brave troops.
Dinah
Bruce Wolf, Fascist.
Execllent piece, Smash. Good work.
Code Pink stinks. Support the troops my arse.
I went to Walter Reed while the Pinkos were there. Just to see I walked about 2 blocks down, crossed the street and walked back to the freepers making sure to walk right through code pinks set up.. I had my gray PT shirt clearly saying MARINES in bold black letters.. They did not say word one to me and only one even ackknowledged I was there..
That just stinks! Just like the Pinkos do! Thanks for this eye-opener! Why isn't this on TV or Rush or Hannity or somewhere where it can get the publiciy it needs and expose those enemies of all that is good?
God bless our troops and God bless America.
I guess you have to disembowel [Code Pinkos], set [Code Pinkos] on fire, and hang [Code Pinkos] from a bridge,
in order to solve the problem of Code Pinkos.
Works for me.
):^(
Great catch, Smash. Keep prosecuting that target!
Mason and PD are heroes proved! If you're reading this, thanks, guys!
That's worrisome. It's really clear that Smash talked to Code Pink, he was told they're there for the troops, but troops who approached them were given the silent treatment.
Imagine if I said I support my wife being a nurse, but don't want her to treat patients, which would be wrong. That would be enough of a silly contradiction. But then apply the Code Pink method: I tell my wife I support her as a nurse, but then say those who trained her and hired her like it when she kills patients. Then I keep expecting her to regard her as a supporter, and bristle at any suggestion by anyone that I am not 100% in her corner.
After I got up off the floor and got my broken jaw set, I think I'd be due in court, because she'd be divorcing me. But Code Pink expects people to not only buy this crap, but laud them for it and count them as supporting the troops more than we do.
After I got up off the floor and got my broken jaw set,
I am quite sure our guys would like to react as your wife would. Their restraint is unbelievable. They are my heroes!
Whoa...that's a brave choice of screen name there, ma'am!
Thanks!
?
Because of that airhead NM Rep chick who introduced that bill that hand ties us until we have another 9/11?
I was referring to the character on CSI. Are you familiar with her?
Ah, no I'm not. :(
