No one was injured. What a shame. He ought to have gotten the worst beating of his life.

That is okay. You can lecture me on biblical, I wouldn't call it one of my qualities.

You don't understand what I meant. There are people who don't believe in any violence, as in fighting back. I have relatives like that. They are total pacifists. They think prayer alone is going to do the trick.
I am religious, just not stupid.

My brother-in-law is a pacifist Quaker. Unless, of course, you hurt his wife or the baby. Then, he says, he'd kill you.
My point is most "pacifists" aren't non-violent....they are just hypocritical pussy-wimps.

My wife and I were flying from Dublin to Boston a year ago. The guy 2 rows back and on the Isle seat suddenly gets up and starts screaming about bombs and we're all going to die.
Fortunately, we had not taken off yet so the Irish authorites came aboard and hauled the nutter off. On the plus side, he was obviously crazy. On the negative side, they removed all his stuff and that was it. No additional searches.

Nobody around here says..."you.". We say, "Whatcha doin?", "How ya been?", "Whereya at?", "Are ya hungry." You is yankee speak.
To: dixiechick2000
I get it honestly. Scot-Irish on both sides.

Yeah...tell your family that even the Apostle Peter carried a sword.

"You is yankee speak."
As in "you guys", which is the same as someone screeching their nails on a chalk board.
My uncle (my father's brother) married the most special woman from TN who died some 15 years ago. She said some of the most strange things or said them in the strangest way. Some of the close cousins that grew up when she was still alive even now will use some of her words kind of as an inside thing, then inevitably someone will say, "I sure do miss Aunt Ruth."

Sounds like someone I would have enjoyed talking to! Sorry she has passed. :(

It's mostly the older people, with deep Scots Irish roots, who say "ya all". And those of any age deeply rooted in Scotch will say about anything. hee hee :-)
