I will not be here for the first hour of tonights program. Thought I would put it up for those FReepers overseas that are viewing it now.
For those who wish to see the clips the Clinton lawyers complained about, Click here
No they didn't, although they showed him recommending it. That was his job. I thought the VP made the call himself, but the movie has him on the phone getting the authorization from the National Command Authority (POTUS). Either way, it wasn't Clarke's call to make, and the movie shows him not making it.
Still the quick decision to order shoot downs if required is in stark contrast to the inability of the former occupants of the White House to make a similar call, in a longer time frame, a few years earlier, as portrayed yesterday.
Don't you think that is an act for the world audience?
Oh yes. It is an extreme measure, but CWOJackson implied that no such authority exists or could be brought into existence. My point was that we already did something similar and it was constitutional. Extreme, but constitutional. Much as the authority granted to the President to launch a pre-emptive all-out 500-missile nuclear strike against another country is extreme and no one could seriously contemplate a President using it, but the authority is there under certain extreme conditions. Same here. The authority to deny a certain demographic access to aircraft exists. It won't ever be used, barring a catastrophic nation-threatening attack, but it is there as well.
You see the effect of the wall throughout the movie, but the world GORELICK and THE WALL seem to be not mentioned directly in this film.
All I know is that's there's a Burger King involved somewhere in the story.LOL!
I forgot about that; that is where the 12 year old cops -er- the cops imitating a 12 year old 'arranged' to meet 'ol Scott the pedophile ...
With Hildabeast or without her..........I find Bill disgusting and repulsive!
Have a lovely bath...I'm off soon to take one myself. :-)
I had to laugh at how they were portraying Clarke. The little worm was worried about cyber terrorism and they made him out to be superman, LOL!
Because for all the strikes they used real footage, and there was no footage, not publicly available footage anyway, of that plane. Just the security camera snapshots, which they did show. If you look at those as stills, you can make out the aircraft in at least one of them.
Yep....there were a few BLAIR WITCH shots, which isn't really all that good.
HE NAILS IT REMINDING PEOPLE OUR MILITARY IS ALL VOLUNTEER!
Meanwhile, Bob Schieffer was telling Katie Couric that we haven't asked the American people to sacrifice enough, because we don't have a draft.
Here on the left coast, the savages are readying to board the planes. I think I'm going to be sick.
Just read the Frontline transcript and all I can say is, WHAT A BITCH! and so typical of the Clinton choice. Albright, Hilary, Bodine, all bitches with no concern about America's survival. The only important thing is that their jobs are made easier by not confronting terrorists.
If this is true, it is cause for rejoicing. Hekmatyar was Masood's nemesis who beguiled and deceived the CIA and betrayed Masood and his fellow muj freedom fighters on many occasions. He also has a close "collaborative" relationship with Iran. Masood would be pleased!
He was at the Pentagon. Where else would he expect the SecDef to be? Now that might have been a cheap shot at Rummy, but if you recall the Pentagon got hit too, and he may have been momentarily "out of pocket". Clarke would have had no way of knowing exactly where he was. He, Rumsfeld, was seen just a little later helping the injured out of the building.
Laugh if you will but one of my great fears was to someday, somewhere actually have to be near him.
I'm sure would've peed myself in terror.
The guy, is above all things, infinitely *creepy*.
Islam seems to do one of 2 things to people: It turns them into hating, killing zombies, or, more often, into confused, weak-willed pawns of hating, killing zombies.
When Ibrahim Hooper of CAIR starts preaching in Middle East mosques against terrorism and hatred, he will earn my respect. Until then, he's just a dhimmified weenie.
The Kurds have been with us. But don't forget the new Iraqi constitution includes Islamic Law.
