I didn't know if there was a west coast version of this thread. It didn't make sense to post on a show that was almost over on the East Coast.
TOPICS: News/Current Events; War on Terror

Could be....
but there are lots of buildings, and the guy seems to be in church (there's stained glass windows).
They seem to be in NY; there's a NY license plate.

Oh yeah you guys don't have DST. Not sure why we have it at all really - not sure it makes sense to anybody except Ben Franklin.
For the time being was watching 60 Minutes but Katie is playing news reporter tonight so switching back to Funniest Videos - should be more informative.

So, we just got home from an all-day visit with family, and when I logged on, found I'd been pinged to the East coast live thread on the airing of "Path to 9/11." But the thread has over 1300 comments on it, and I can't wade through that much random posts to discover the bottom line...
What is the bottom line? What's the consensus? Did ABC flinch? Did they edit the film? Were the edits significant? Was the film accurate to what we know is the history of the years preceeding 9/11/01? Was it as bad for Clinton as the volume of Clinton's protests would have indicated?

I'm in Arizona too but I've got DirectTV with both east and west ABC. I wasn't going to watch it but I got a pretty good tongue-lashing on an earlier thread to shutup until I see it. So far, the main thing I've learned from it is that "the world" didn't like America when Willie Clinton was president either. It's not something that happened only after President Bush attacked Iraq. As usual, the DemocRATS are wrong again and have been pulling the wool over our eyes by telling us "the world" was in love with America until "the cowboy" came along.

I watched the 6 clips of the supposed cuts this afternoon but it sure looks to me like those scenes are included in the movie that I'm watching now. I've watched nearly 2 1/2 hours now and even if they did cut some scenes, it is still a scathing indictment of the Clinton administration.

The casting of Richard Clarke:
I can't stop laughing . . lol It's so perfect.

The DUers are probably REALLY Pissed off tonight..from what Ive watched so far.
Guess ABC didn't cut the 2 hours and 59 minutes from the 3-hour show they wanted cut. I think they just were OK with the credits. Nah.

The terrorists sure seemed full of rage in 1993, when W was still governor of Texas (or had he even been elected to that yet?)

I watched the TV broadcast along with the computer so called cuts . The ONLY thing I saw cut was the night vision section of the mission to capture Bin Laden . Other than that the timing was right on the money for the other five so called deleted scenes .

It's actually simply a video on the making of the film. There are a bunch of cameramen and actors. However, the website states that it is also on the internet, so it's probably someplace.

Don't see a link yet for the
[deleted parts] so click that and you can see them on redstate.com.
I have seen the clips. They are particularly damning of Sandy Berger, Aldim, and Billy Blythe, without a doubt.
I have seen the film up 'til now and I'm stopping. I have seen them skip over one of the deleted parts which makes it disjointed... nevertheless... I think the point that Berger waffled still got through. Also... I think the democrats have due reason to shake in their boots. Even with the deletions, and even if nobody could see them, this thing is killer on the Clinton Administration, IMNSHO.
All those millions of $$$$ worth of lies in the liberal media just went up in smoke. Millions of $$$$$ of "MOVEON" money just went up in smoke.
We were going to win in November anyway... I think now we have chances to win big. People cannot walk away from this without seeing that we are at WAR.. it is thrust on us by a relentless and cruel foe and it will not stop until one side wins an ultimate victory.
After tonight, President Bush should simply look surprized, or with disdain, at anybody asking why we are fighting in Iraq. What a great job these people did in their acting, and directing, camera work, all perfect and very, very, powerful.

it is still a scathing indictment of the Clinton administrationI agree. And the things specifically protested by the Demonrats seem to still be in the movie.
