Aaagh. How could I forget the name Stephen Hayes? He's been fantastic on this matter; his research is among the best.
And I can see that he has facts at his disposal, well researched and double/triple sourced facts, and was never called by the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Maybe he should be hired and the government could save a boatload of $$ we're currently paying for some useless CIA staffers.
In 2002, Kurds presented the CIA with evidence that an offshoot of AQ was in part funded and directed by Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard.

The Department of Defense Inspector General’s office has determined that the 2002 Office of Special Plans was not an illegal operation despite 5 years of claims from Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee, but the Associated Press is still trying to carry the line that the Bush Administration used the Office of Special Plans to manipulate the intelligence provided to the Senate Intelligence Committee regarding Iraq/AQ connections.
