The left talks a good game about rights and freedoms and all that, but the truth is, the more power people on the left get, the more totalitarian they become.

In America, they are strongest in the universities, and sure enough, it's within many universities that you find speech codes; denials of tenure and funding based on political alignment or positions; the suppression of certain kinds of ideological expression; open attacks on conservatives and Jews; and the tacit encouragement or official endorsement of left-wing (and sometimes violent, Jihadist, anti-Semitic, or simply vile) ideological and artistic expressions.

And in America, we're lucky... because in some other countries in the world, where left-of-center ideals have been able to reach their fullest flower, the result has been...

The attempts of the Left to pervert the news during the Clarence Thomas hearings disgusted me and made me ashamed of my party. I was a liberal until I compared the actual hearings, which I watched, with the interpretation presented by PBS and the MSM.

I'm hoping more liberals are waking up.

If they do, the Party will collapse. The Left socialist pacifist Party is the Dem Party. For them to actually face, read, change and become rational would undermine the entire focus of their Party since the end of the FDR era. It cannot be done Party wise. Hari Kari would be on the national news nightly. When individuals change to rational human beings, the Angels sing in Heaven. Most Dems don't believe in Heaven so change is impossible for the DNC!!!
