Bush Losing Support Among Supporters (I Have Exposed the LAZINESS of CBS News!)

At the Kettle Diner in Jacksonville, N.C., it's faith, family and the Corps. Jacksonville is home to Camp Lejuene, the largest Marine Corps base on the East Coast...Even some lifelong conservatives aren't hearing the president's message anymore.

"I've turned him off," said retired Marine Col. Jim Van Riper. "I've tuned him out."

Van Riper is a Christian, card-carrying member of the National Rifle Association who voted for President Bush twice. But as more Marines have died, his confidence in the Bush administration has died as well.

I assume it's a different person. Here are their photos:

Lt Gen Paul Van Riper on the left, Col Jim Van Riper on the right.

I saw that segment of SeeBS news tonight. The 2 "former Republicans" were such obvious plants they couldn't have fooled a 4-yr old.

In order to win now, the Democrats have to get some people who voted for Bush in 2004 to vote Donk in 2006. I just don't see that many people who supported Bush last time being comfortable supporting Cut-And-Run Democrats now.

So to make them feel more comfortable, the Donks plant these phony "Former Bush Voters", so people think that it is a reasonable position to shift to the Defeatocrat Party. "If all these people are doing it," the reasoning is supposed to go, "it can't be as ridiculous as it appears at first glance."

The thing is, you can't produce a receipt to prove you voted for Bush in 2006. If you go up to a reporter and say you've changed from Bush to Donk, he will pretty much accept that statement at face value and put you on the air. So it is a very simple matter for the local Democrat Party office to plant "converts" in the crowd, using the old Revivalist trick. But these people all seem to say pretty much the same thing when a microphone is shoved in their face.

It just doesn't pass the smell test. Every single one of them seems to say that they strongly supported Bush and the WOT, but have grown disaffected as the Iraq war has gone on, and are now willing to vote for the party that is sky-writing "SURRENDER AMERICA" across the sky with their flying brooms. If they were mushy-middlers on the WOT, that might be plausible. But very few people will have gone from from Gung-Ho to Nancy Pelosi in two short years. That's just not going to happen that often.

They are twin brothers. It's mentioned in one of the articles that I googled.

There are two Van Ripers. They are twins. If you put them side by side, you can't tell which is which.

I live in Jacksonville, too. When I first read the article, I wondered how long they had to search this town to find someone to say what they wanted him to say. The fact that he was already known as a "war whiner" explains how they just "happened" to catch him at The Kettle and interview him for this anti-war story. Thanks for the heads up.

Great catch!

Sure, everybody knows by now that CBS News is essentially a subsidiary of the Democrat Party USA, but we must remain ever vigilant in exposing the network's lies, frauds, and forgeries. We must be as relentless with the truth as CBS is with lies.

That's pretty damning. I wonder if Dan Blather's replacement picked this one out.

Fake, but accurate. Same old, same old.

Thanks for taking one for the team by watching the "new and improved" version of the dinosaur media's take on bashing America. (I actually watched a bit of the show to catch Rush's comments. It was a summary of his show of Wednesday or Thursday of last week. It was good and hopefully dented the frontal lobes of a few of the "Katie Krowd". I doubt it.)

IF they listened to Rush and to this whiner, they would probably short-circuit.

Col Van Riper's comments have been cherry picked by the news service. I know Col Van Riper and you couldn't find a better gentleman. He is extremely knowledgeble and stills study's military history. His problem with the administration is that they should have sent more forces, hammered hard and often. His biggest gripe is that there was very planning for operations after the ground battle.

Oh yes, don't worry bout him how he will vote in the next election. I had a discussion with him before he wrote the 2004 article and about voting and he said that you have to vote and you vote for the best, even if you don't like the best. Because otherwise you get the worst.
