Fox News has been running internet coverage of 9/11 events on an unpublished internet stream. I have been watching the coverage since this afternoon after I discovered the link was active.
At midnight EDT, Fox just rolled over the coverage and restarted it with Fox and Friends at 8 a.m. EDT, Tuesday September 11.
The Windows Media Player link can be found here: http://foxnews-foxstream.wm.llnwd.net/foxnews_foxstream

Thanx. My ears don't multitask as well as they used to.

Real Time now: Chuckie Schumer complaining that the President is using 9/11 as a political issue for the upcoming midterm elections.

Things are winding down. Just updates and replays from earlier that day. Hoping the thread will recycle in a couple of hours. It's well worth watching the last 45 minutes of Fox and Friends that day. A time never to come again. I missed recording it so will catch it this time.

Is the President running again? Someone should tell Chuckles, if the had stood firm Donks in the position they took in 2001, the issue would be unusable in the current election cycle.

Thanks, Dave.
I recall how vital FreeRepublic was on that day. All the standard news sites were overloaded and this forum served as a collection and dissemination point for all the day's events.

"I hit 'abort' to stop recording and about had a heartattack thinking I'd lost the info, though... i didn't. (is that how you stop the recording?) "
It is the only way I know to stop the stream.
"WOW! I can even edit the clips with Windows Movie Maker. How COOL!"
In Movie Maker, you can also choose your file size and bit rate to "crunch" a huge file to a manageable size, (which I usually do when I'm going to upload a clip to a server).

By the way, isn't it great to watch fox without all those foolish banners at the bottom? (One of my pet peeves)
The news ticker is good, because it has info, but the banners that sit for hours saying stuff like "Politics and Terrorism" take up too much screen space and are irritating.
And I really hate it when they are showing a video and what you are supposed to be looking at is hidden under the banner. They never get it off in time.

I have an idea!Could we possibly ask Fox to have this available continually, instead of just on the anniversary? Or get a SERVER that could play it ON DEMAND?
Pointing people to this coverage on the 'net whenever they wonder "Why are we fighting this war?" They can see why.
Smarter FREEPers than I can tell us how to get this to happen.

The thread was pulled. What was it about?
To: GoLightly
Not so fast...the thread was pulled due to lack of info- it seems the poster may have misunderstood what he/she heard on MSNBC.
