Bob Beckel Threatens Rumsfeld With Violence

Democrat Bob Beckel threatened Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld with violence today in a discussion on the Fox News Channel about Rumsfeld's speech last week relating the war on terror to World War 2.

Beckel said if Rumsfeld weren't Secretary of Defense and had federal protection, he'd "kick the dog out of him."

Beckel joined a growing number of Democrats who have reacted viscerally to Rumsfeld's remarks, even though Rumsfeld did not single out the Democratic party nor did he name any current Democrats as appeasers.

That's what's alarming about all of this. Beckel is one of the more stable Dem spokesmen.

Bob has probably gotten in trouble with the DNC for being too "moderate"...so he took his shot..LOL

I totally agree with the conscience part .. but Rummy wasn't talking so much as about them being unpatriotic as he was about them being naive, stupid, clueless and ignoring history

Rummy mentioned appeasement during WWII for a reason .. because much of what was said and done then by Chamberlain and his groupies is being said and done now by the democrats

Oh...I KNOW what Rummy was saying...please don't think that I am as ignorant as the dems...and mistaking Rummy's speech being about THEM...rather than the danger WE as a country face, if we don't look to history...and change our approach ...

I KNOW that Mo1....but, the overreaction by the dems shows their either EXTREME ignorance..or their EXTREME lust for power...because their reaction to his speech, plus their equally emotional reaction to the "explanation" by the Pentagon...is downright SCARY.

IF the Bob Beckel's of the "cause" react this way...then hopefull the GOP will dig in more to take Rummy's lead to not only explain what Rummy meant, but FOR ONCE, stand UP for President Bush and Rummy and the security of our country..

No problem. It pays to keep in mind what our opponents have done so that we don't trust them when they try to sound reasonable.
