For Social/Cultural/Moral Conservative voters like myself, Giuliani means at least a temporary divorce from the GOP.
Plain and simple, I will not support Rudy for President or give my time, effort, or vote to a party that nominates someone this liberal for their highest office. A Pro-War Hillary running under the GOP banner is still unacceptable.
If Rudy is the best the party has to offer, then good riddance. Spend the next decade trying to out-liberal the Democrats on social issues as well as the fiscal issues on which you currently try to out-liberal them.
I won't stick around to help it happen.
Give up the Rudy crap. Find someone at least 1.5% Conservative to put on the ballot already.

Nice, this is the same rudy giuliani who said that ruling out tax increases was political pandering. The same rudy giuliani who borrowed his way out of a deficit and passed it on to bloomberg. Last i recall even after he left new york taxes were still very close to the highest in the nation.

His stance on gun control, borders, scope of government power, and social programs disqualifies him in my not so humble opinion.
A guy who doesn't, now or twenty years ago, understand the plain meaning of "right of the people" and "shall not be infringed", wouldn't understand strict construction if it bit him in the buttocks.
Mayor or President the meaning of the Constitution doesn't change. There's these other little pieces of the Constitution too:
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

and

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms cannot be infringed."

If Rudy is to win the nomination, and the election, he is going to have to forcefully renounce his liberal past.
"Forcfully": David Horowitz would be a good example for him to follow.
He's got a year yet to convince us he's changed, so his 'friends' should cut the baloney and tell him get to it.
