CAIRO, Egypt — Al Qaeda's deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahiri issued a new videotape Saturday along with a man identified as an American member of the terror network, inviting Americans to convert to Islam.
The 41-minute video, posted on an Islamic militant Web site nine days before the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, had footage of al-Zawahri and a man the video identified as Adam Yehiye Gadahn, an American who the FBI believes attended Al Qaeda training camps in Pakistan and served as an Al Qaeda translator.
Gadahn and al-Zawahiri did not appear together in the footage but were each featured on a split screen. Both wore white turbans and robes.

Maybe they chose now, rather than later because of the thwarted attack in Britain....that was probably supposed to happen around 9/11....
So they are putting out this tape to replace that attack as a "warning"...
Just guessing on my part...of course.
It's not all that strict - pederasty seems to be just fine, as well as the famous "20 minute marriage," a way of making a visit to a prostitute ok with allah. And don't forget that Ayatollah Khomenei's first published work was an "Ask the Mullah" column telling Muslim men it was okay for them to have sex with chickens. (I kid you not.)
However, the problem is that with a polygamous system, there simply aren't enough women available on a permanent basis. The well-off older men have them all. Many young men will thus never marry and have children, and there's a tremendous amount of resentment and anger built up in them over that.
