CAIRO, Egypt — Al Qaeda's deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahiri issued a new videotape Saturday along with a man identified as an American member of the terror network, inviting Americans to convert to Islam.
The 41-minute video, posted on an Islamic militant Web site nine days before the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, had footage of al-Zawahri and a man the video identified as Adam Yehiye Gadahn, an American who the FBI believes attended Al Qaeda training camps in Pakistan and served as an Al Qaeda translator.
Gadahn and al-Zawahiri did not appear together in the footage but were each featured on a split screen. Both wore white turbans and robes.

I hope you're right. The thing that bothers me is that I don't think the moonbats are a fringe anymore. They represent the mainstream of the Dem party now, and I think a lot of people would simply follow them in whatever they did.

That was my thought as well...until I realized this is September- two months before elections. I think UBL sent that tape out within a week of the elections in 04..

I think I figured this out----
Clinton and Soros arranged for this tape to come out this weekend to take the attention away from the Plamegate flameout...but, they wanted the tape to come out about 4 days ago...it is already too late for THAT...BUT, they have gotten all of the dems talking points in that they were told to include.
Amazing that that book by Horowitz has NOT lost it's importance..but become MORE timely.

Yep. The MSM will like nothing more than to try and crucify Bush if given the chance. I don't know. I just tend to think they'll attack with enough time for Congress to debate and drag as many members of the administration through the mud as possible first. If they do it too soon near election day, they run the risk of the voters running to the GOP before the accusations fly.

Yep. Look for the Sunday shows to feature all the usual suspects whining that our ports are not protected, we never caught Usama, civil war in Iraq, Haliburton, blah blah blah. I also wonder if they figured this 9-11 mini-series will definitely hurt the Clintonistas et al, so they're pulling a fast one to head it off at the pass.
What is starting to get me really steamed is when the dems and pundits call for Rummy's head and get on to Bush because of his foreign "policy"...
This war isn't about POLICY...a "policy" is putting sanctions on Sudan because of Darfur, or denying funds to a group because of the way they treat women..THOSE are policy decisions.
What Bush has been doing since 9/12/2001...is working for the SURVIVAL of our country....he can't change like the dems say he should...the only other change available is to give up and give in to people that want us DEAD..AFTER THEY CONVERT US AT THE POINT OF A MACHETE OR GUN.
Maybe somebody should ask the Dems how Zawahiri and Shazzam the Shamerican got an advance copy of Harry and Nancy's big presentation about the Dem's plan for the WOT???

Speaking of "getting laid"...I read a theory the other day that said that one of the reasons so many young Muslim boys are susceptible to being talked into becoming martyrs and blowing themselves up is because their religion is so strict re: sex...
And they have all of this sexual frustration built up, that when a mentor tells them that the minute they blow up..there will 72 virgins waiting...they believe it and can't wait.
