Senator Hillary Clinton reached out today to a core group of supporters _ women _ in her front-running bid for a second term, a race many see as a prelude to a run for president in two years.
The former first lady planned campaign stops at the site of the new home for the National Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls and a restaurant in Moravia to host lunch for a new group _ "Moms for Hillary."
The events served as a reminder that Clinton, who was inducted into the women's hall in 2004, made history in 2000 by becoming the first, and thus far only, woman independently elected to statewide office in New York.
Recent polls have shown Clinton far ahead of her rivals in the New York race, and with a distinct advantage among female voters.
She faces a September 12th primary against anti-Iraq war activist Jonathan Tasini.
Former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer and Reagan-era Pentagon official Kathleen Troia "K-T" McFarland are vying for the Republican Senate nomination.

Recent polls have shown Clinton far ahead of her rivals in the New York race, and with a distinct advantage among female voters. A headline of this would be: "Mental disease rampant amongst large portions of New Yorkers"

"becoming the first, and thus far only, woman independently elected to statewide office in New York."That's a real stretch, as they may have properly said "biological female", rather than giving her credit for being a real "woman".....

Hillary's Real Groups:
How about the "kill the babies" group.
And the "Fidelity in Marriage Groups".
When will they meet with Madam Hillary?
