Walter Cronkite To Introduce Katie Couric On CBS News
August 28, 2006 11:00 a.m. EST
Maira Oliveira - All Headline News Reporter New York, NY (AHN) - Katie Couric is set to debut on CBS in early September as the "queen" of CBS News. To make her foray extra special, the former bubbly co-host of NBC's "Today" show-will be introduced on her first day on the newscast by legendary anchorman, Walter Cronkite.
Dan's on special assignment.
They are acting like this is the second coming.
Courage, Dan.
This is essentially a non event for about what, 95 to 98% of the U.S. public?
If Katie falls in the ratings and nobody is around, will it make a sound? LOL
Cronkite, now there's the kiss of death.
The funny thing is that neither of them has any sense at all of the irony this conveys to so many people......no doubt Walter still thinks he is revered as 'America's Anchorman'...ostensibly passing the torch and presumably the mantle of authority to Katie....this could easily be taken for self-parody if it weren't for the monstrous egos of both parties
And that's the way she is ...
Anyone less than Jesus, Hinself, wouldn't make any difference - Bubblehead, the blonde is going to remain Bubblehead the blonde regardless of who appears with her.
Tonight on his last show, old Bob had Katie on and I swear, the two of them almost sneered when they talked about the unfortunte problems that brought Bob to the anchor desk.
They'll have to cut out at least one take when he pronounces her last name 'Clinton'.
One dried up American Liberal Traitor introducing another. Thats the way it is!
The kiss of death.
More evidence that only the good die young. And the wicked live forever.
May he very loudly pass gas.
The Prune and the Priss...
The cool thing is this whole changing of the guard was caused by a few people around here. *snicker*
