I sent the last 2 chapters of the dissertation to my advisor. I can sit back and relax now, until she comes back w/the revisions. I'm happy to have the break. I've been working like a dog to meet my end of August deadline.

Oh yeah, did you see I got my driver's license earlier this month? (I'm getting forgetful, we might have talked about it) My son won't let me drive his car, tho, so I haven't driven since then. Still, I'm glad to pass that hurdle. I had begun to think I wasn't smart enough to learn to drive, but it dawned on me, if illegals and 16 year olds can do it, I should give it a shot. : )

I don't know how to describe it. I just can't take my eyes off of it and it made me so sad.

I had the same impression, Justa. Maybe it's the light, but he almost looks a little teary.

Thanks, Purple. I was sure tonight would NOT be the night. My internet connection went down for awhile, and I knew the Dose was due to come up any minute. When it finally went up, Free Republic wouldn't come up right away. I finally got it and was relieved to see the Dose wasn't up yet. I hit refresh twice just for the heck of it and noticed there weren't any replies. Lucky!

Is it on cs 3? I tried to find it and Tim Roamer (?) was on complaining that the President didn't do something or other before 2006.....and the other had some jihad thing on. ;*(

Okay......I'm totally confused. I check out your profile page after you tell us that you have just learned to drive. What am I missing here? You were a lawyer and working on PhD to become professor and you couldn't drive? I'm scratching my head on this. I await clarification. ASAP.

Yes it does. Perhaps that is why it made me sad to think something brought him to tears.

Justa, I've never seen the President speak before veterans that he didn't cry. He always tears up when he talks to vets, soldiers, families of soldiers, or the wounded. It doesn't take much to touch his tender heart.

Heartbreaking but very sweet and intensely cute.

Hello Nan, I used the blackeyed peas the other day with new slow cooker they were great.

I also made some cornbread not too sure about that but I think I could get to like it.

I also did Cheese Grits with bacon, tomatoes etc for evening meal about 10 days ago they were lovely.

Thank you so much
