The president hit the campaign trail, traveling from Texas to Arkansas to support gubernatorial candidate Asa Hutchinson, then to Loews Vanderbilt Plaza, Nashville, Tennessee (news and video), where hell attend a fundraiser for Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Bob Corker.
Laura Bush was in Bellevue, WA, to help raise funds for Senate candidate Mike Mike McGavick.

I need to get to work on the Finest for tomrrow. Wont prolly be posting til the morning as it is fun to see all the contributions at Warm Fuzzy. But John gave me 2 DVDs today FULL of pix from out doggie outings (June til present). A lot of video. I have had fun (and wasted a lot of time) browsing through them
I take a LOT of pix but he takes prolly triple or more the amount I do

He may have learned this from Laura. When working in the education field you are taught to look at the child at their level. Eye to eye, you engage the child more when you do this. For example in disciplining a child, you are to kneel down and get face to face with them and then explain the problem. I imagine with Laura working as an educator he observed her doing this and picked up on it. :)

I don't really know the path of the storm either, Dolly, because I've had the television off for several days now. We keep an eye on the local paper and know our neighbors and family would warn us if there was an danger. Just couldn't take all the obnoxious reporting so I'm on a self imposed blackout. LOL

Thanks for the interview link, Deb. I watched the whole thing, and President Bush deserves a gold star. I know reporters sometimes feel the need to play devil's advocate, but I got the impression that some of the questions were just meant to hurt, particularly the questions about the father-son relationship. He seemed to imply that the president's father invited Clinton to Kennebunkport more than him as a means of expressing disapproval of his policy choices. The very idea inflames me.
Clinton isn't president anymore and obviously has a lot more spare time. Maybe the reporter figured that since the tabloid's ridiculous "even Laura hates him" story didn't go anywhere he might as well try again with Bush Sr.
But our Dubya didn't lose his cool at all. He had an answer for everything and was very sincere. I wish we could all just give him a big high five.

Intriguing thought. Dubya definitely seems like the type of guy willing to learn from his wife. He may have learned it from his dad too. I've seen photos of Bush Sr. doing the same thing.

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!
Sorry I haven't been around much.
I was having computer problems the last couple of days (no surprises here! lol!).
But I was ever so glad to be able to get back online and able to get my DOSE of sanity after nearly a week of having to listen to non-stop Bush/America bashing from my leftie neighbors as well as others (the usual suspects).
Hope to be able to at least try to get to post on tonight's Dose.
