Draw your own conclusions from the fact that Armitage’s best friend Colin Powell called Dick Cheney’s supporters (including Scooter Libby, Doug Feith and Paul Wolfowitz) the “Gestapo Office” (quite insulting considering that there is a history of relatives lost in the Holocaust among them).
Factor in that Powell called Doug Feith “a card-carrying member of the Likud Party” and referred to the Likudnicks in the White House controlling policy during his “exit interview with Bush” (see Assassin’s Gate: America in Iraq) – thereby showing his support for anti-Semitic conspiracy theorists.

The media has, in effect, cannonized Powell. He is almost untouchable. The Bush Administration (Bush, Cheney,and 2 odr 3 others) should Themselves, explain what happened in the most stark details that they can muster. They need to go on the offensive and expose these traitorous bastards completely. Powell is an icon of the left, especially now that he sandbagged Bush. For Heaven's sake, he tried to take down the Bush Administration. That cannot go unchallenged by Bush. For this countrys' sake.
No kidding.....Powell/Armitage are now REALLY DAMAGED GOODS....don't know if anything else will happen to them, but decent people will SHUN them. The loans were not paid back, but large donations were given to Clinton's election fund. Web Hubbel became acting US attorney general under Clinton, and some think he still fulfils that role behind Janet Reno.
During the Reagan/Bush anti-drug campaign, whilst Clinton governed Arkansas, the United State's biggest drug trafficking operation was set up in Mena Arkansas by a DEA pilot.
Many people speaking out or investigating Bill Clinton have died in mysterious circumstances, for which the official cause of death is given as 'suicide'. Conveniently, in a law introduced into Arkansas by Clinton just prior to the first suspicious deaths no autopsy needs to be performed in cases of deaths attributed to suicide.

Tell me why Bush won't get agressive with all of the lies told about him by even his hand-picked cabinet members. Bush should step up and tell us what Powell knew, when he knew it, and the same for Armitage. I agree with a previous post that Plame/Wilson were just used by State and CIA to invalidate the 2004 election, it seems, because they did not like Bushs' policies. This was an attempted coup-de-ta. Now, what freepers need to find out is the juxtaposition of Powell/Armitage with the democrat leadership. There must have been some coordination for as much damage to be done. The MSM, it is expected, would willingly go to the left. Powell/Armitage had the keys to the Administration and knew all of the secrets. Then, knowing these things they contrived, it seems, a way to use Plame/Wilson to undo the election. This is heavy duty sh*t.
How could any competent journalist believe the Plame-Wilson claims when so many facts disproved it from the beginning?
How can a guy like Libby end up indicted?

I think ARmitage is a really bad guy. I think Powell is the worst of the worst. He is granted the mantell of austerity, wise soldier, confidant of 4 presidents.....then he goes out and 'orchestrates' a series of calumnies which take Bush from 43-45% to 32%. THere are calls for impeachment. There are criminal investigations with the plan to imprison Bushes closest confidants, when Powell knew....he knew...they were innocent and remained silent. Now Armitage is silent. Where is the media camped out on Armitages front lawn like they did Rove. Why are they not like mad-dogs trying to ask why Powell remained silent while good men were being persecuted by Fitzgerald? Where is Chris Matthews asking the question, "Well Rove won't come out and tell the truth and he outed Plame. He lets Judy Miller, a good friend , sit in jail. Not a very good friend is he?" Where are those questions for Armitage and Powell. No, hell, no. The Main Street Media goes on to another hit piece on Bush. With Brian Williams sandbagging Bush in New Orleans with his pissant quesions about Bush I and Bush II relationships. Where are the questions now....Now that it counts and really takes on profound meaning for this country? Why did the State Dept. and CIA orchestrate an attempted take down of a duly elected government? Why won't the bastards ask the real important quesitons? They hate this country to their marrow. I really do believe that. They are not good Americans. They are as dangerous, or worse, than al Queda.
what percentage of americans know even the real details about the case against Libby, and this whole matter? a small percentage, even within the republican base.
why would Fitzgerald drop the case? the whole GJ was a perjury trap to begin with. the only way he will drop it, is if he can be pressured to do so. where would that pressure come from? either our side has something on him (unlikely), or - the "cabal" fears that testomony at Libby's trial will expose some things they would rather not see happen.
I think Bush is good at heart. But for the Republic he needs to explain and educate the populus. Only then can we the people make an informed decision. The people deserve to know the truth after 3 years of confabulation, calumny and intriguers confounding everyone. He is the only one with the bully pulpit to do so. Otherwise we remain in darkness.
That's interesting because I was just reading over here about potential WaPO sources for 2003 stories on this. The theory was that there was a counter leak campaign, a deep throat feeding information to the WaPo. One of the names that came up was none other than Armitage.

We have open borders that are exposing our citizens to all manner of abuses. For all we know terrorists have taken advantage of this situation.

Look, you and I agree with regard to the War on Terrorism. I support Bush in that effort, but we are by no means safe in our own homeland and we each know it.
