I guess now that trashing McCain has worn itself out, it's on to trashing Guiliani. I guess people won't be happy until they've nominated Foot in the Mouth Allen so we can spend all of 2008 defending his "macaca" slip up...if he even ends up surviving his Senate race now. Good job guys.

You have to know what New York City was like until Giuliani came on the scene to fully appreciate his common sense approach to government.
He is far and away the better choice to most candidates on both sides.

It'd probably be easier defending Allen's "macaca" slip than the positions of liberal rudy. He has so much baggage. Alot we probably haven't even heard about, yet.

You want a hardcore northeast liberal to be the nominee for the GOP in 2008? Not me!
Conservatives shouldn't be supporting left of center candidates. Lets get a few solid conservative candidates in the mix and see what happens. There is still 16 months till the primary season starts and over two years till the general election. Long road ahead. No time to be ramming a liberal politico down the throats of the party faithful.

I find it amusing that merely revealing a politicians stances on issues, and many of the revelations made by direct quotes, is seen by the liberal wing of the Republican party as "trashing".
It all seems so, well, LIBERAL.

If you read the article and still believe that Rudy is a good conservative candidate you deserve him as your president.

The "macaca" word has use in several languages. Does anyone, for instance, know the meaning of the word as used in the Philippines?

Don't have to, he's already done it to himself!
Can't you get it through your head, he is not a Republican?

Hey MikeA -- I noticed that you did not refute any of Guliani's objectively left-wing positions. Do you have any evidence to the contrary?
Why don't you just join the losertarian party, because you cannot possibly be telling us that Rudy passes the smell test for Reagan-Republicans.
Sorry MikeA, but some of us are not "win-at-any-cost" RINOS. We know that elections have results, and those results impact our daily lives -- from tax and social policy to gay marriage.
Your "attach the messenger" response is typically liberal.

Romney takes it. McCain is hopeless, Rudy is a liberal, Allen is a buffoon with the wattage of a zippo who'd drop like a stone in the general.

McCain and Rudy are cut from the same cloth and it's colors ain't red white and blue! They deserve the same treatment. They're both gun grabbers who don't stand a ghost of a chance. Neither have had to face the wrath of the NRA and GOA on a national level. The gun owners will shred them both. If you don't think that single issue is enough to do the job, ask Algore. There is another issue that will shred them both: Border security. Illegals flooding our cities with crime and terrorists. Wait until those terrorists strike.
Who the heck said anything about Allen? I'd be looking for a Newt/Condi ticket.

We can win without a RINO.
You sound like the liberal media in condemning someone for a one incident comment.
Allen has a solid conservative stance. We can win with him.
Giuliani was a great mayor but don't forget he had to drop out of the Senate race against the hilderbeast. If he couldn't win a senate race, why do you believe he could win the presidency?

***...so we can spend all of 2008 defending his "macaca" slip up...***
I'd rather spend my time defending macaca that trying to defend - and with a straight face - why I would support a guy who OPENLY wants to take my guns away and who would without a doubt sign every UN gun grabbing treaty that comes along.
AND spend my time defending a guy who sees nothing wrong with my grandchildren being FORCED to learn about why 'Jill Has Two Mommies' and reading "Jill and Jill went up the hill".
Yeah, I'd have noooooooo problem defending those.
btw, in Bhutanese 'Macaca' has two meanings. One is 'sh*t for brains', the other is 'Rudy For President'.
