You want a hardcore northeast liberal to be the nominee for the GOP in 2008? Not me!

Conservatives shouldn't be supporting left of center candidates. Lets get a few solid conservative candidates in the mix and see what happens. There is still 16 months till the primary season starts and over two years till the general election. Long road ahead. No time to be ramming a liberal politico down the throats of the party faithful.

Look at FreeRepublics own poll. Rudy is by far the leader of the pack right now. For a simple reason - he is a leader.

You want a hardcore southern inflexable conservative to be the nominee for the GOP in 2008? Not me!

I want a person with proven integrity, leadership and common sense approach to issues that should concern government, not a man who focuses on social issues that government has no business considering. Rudy has stated repeatedly that some issues shouldn't be a government
concern. He has his personal views on them but would most likely not consider them as areas needing alterations.

While you wait for the perfect candidate who shares all of your views, social and otherwise, I'll pick someone who has proven he can lead and can prioritize issues effectively.
