You have to know what New York City was like until Giuliani came on the scene to fully appreciate his common sense approach to government.
He is far and away the better choice to most candidates on both sides.
true. NYC was a disaster until he came on board.
As a conservative, I cannot argue your points.
Giuliani is not who I'd prefer, but look at who's running...He's head and shoulders above the pack.
In fact, I'd suggest it's actually the opposite . . . Doing an admirable job in running a radical leftist rat-hole like New York City ought to disqualify him from any consideration for the top of the GOP ticket.
I agree. Although I dont agree with Giuliani on some social issues , he IS the guy to keep us safe . He is a no nonsense guy against terrorist. I dont really care about gay marriage ( compared to have a US city nuked ) and as president he can't do much about private gun ownership . THE issue is Islamic terror and on that MAJOR issue he is the guy to have lead us .

If you can improve NYC, you can improve the world.
He is far and away the better choice to most candidates on both sides.
Before Rudy in NYC things were so out of control that violent crime was just a routine happening and the citizens didn't even bother reporting most of it. Dirt, grime, insulting behavior, petrified mass transport riders, pandhandling and other petty crime was the norm. Politicians didn't even bother trying to clean it up it was so far gone. Then comes Rudy and you know the rest of the story. So, let me understand something. He is unacceptable because he has personal views that counter your own on some issues.
Somehow what Rudy did in New York says much more about the man than his views on a few social issues and social issues that he probably would not lobby to alter as there are many more important issues which he would attack head on.
I'll take Rudy any day over someone who feels that defeating gay marriage is the most important issue ever to come up.
I left NYC in 1989. I couldn't see living there for one more day. When I returned in 2000, I couldn't believe what he did to that city. Anyone who could turn NYC in the dramatic way he did, has my vote as President of the United States.
