If Ahmadinejad is OK doing this via satellite I think President Bush should consider it. It would certainly be amusing to watch! In no way should he enter Iran though...

Ahmadinejad's condition: "This TV debate may not be censored for US public".Bush to Ahmadinejad: "Ditto for the Iranian public."

I like the idea of a boxing match between the two. If we are going to get absurd, let's really get down and dirty.

Ahmadinejad's condition: "This TV debate may not be censored for US public". Note that he didn't say it wouldn't be censored for the Iranian public...

I'm sure the Dems will all be on TV tonight insisting that if they were President, they would do this because this is what we need to move the dialogue forward. The sooner we do this, the sooner we'll all be able to hold hands and sing "Kumbayah."

Ahem, have Ahmadi-nejad come out here for the debate. In fact, I hear there's pretty beaches and a cozy camp very short sail from Florida where we can hold a good 'debate' with him.

Bush: "Glad to do it Mahmoud, let's set up a satellite feed right away. Say, would you mind giving Rummy the coordinates of your TV studio? Just for the record, of course."

This is a great idea. Say yes, invite him, get all the cameras rolling, then flood the place with cops and FBI and arrest the moonbat, charge him with torture and murder for his activities 20-25 years ago, convict and execute him. Or you can avoid the rigamorale and say yes, invite him, and shoot him in the head the minute he steps off the plane. Or you can just shoot down the plane.
Would that Hitler had been so easy...

All kidding aside, I suppose Ahmadinejad would insist the winner take all, then expound his evil cunning in word twisting and sleight of hand tricks. This man is Satan's henchman, for sure. He comes from a culture completely foreign to ours. And Roberts rules would not prevail.

We have proposals for resolving the international crises on the basis of justice, dignity and equality of human being This sounds curiously like John Kerry's mythical "plan" for when he became President. The one that would end war, suffering, hunger and that darn neo-conservatism problem. You know, the one he could NEVER EVER EVER give any details on?
If his plan is so good, Achmadinajohohoho should just share it. If he was really interested in peace, he would. We know he won't. This is just another stalling tactic.

Does this mean Ahmadinejad is a Democrat and running in 2008?

You might want to start a Freep this Poll alert on this one. I'm at work and don't have the time to see if anyone has already started one. CNN has this on their Poll today: Who would win a debate on world issues between President Bush and Iranian President Ahmadinejad? Bush Ahmadinejad
I'm aghast that the poll numbers so far are running in Ahmadinejad's favor 62%!

As the Greatest Book says:
With a good man it is good to talk,
Make him your fast friend:
But waste no words on a witless oaf,
Nor sit with a senseless ape.
And
Bandy no speech with a bad man:
Often the better is beaten
In a word fight by the worse.

We accept your offer, Mr. Ahmadingyjob.
Unfortunately the President has a previous appointment of greater import that day (he's going fishing with his dad in Maine) so John Mark Karr will be sitting in for him. Try not to let him make you look as stupid as you usually do.
