The president spoke with UN SG Kofi Annan about the international force being assembled for Lebanon; the Iranian regime's statement on its nuclear program; and the need to improve the situation in Darfur. He attended a fundraiser for Senator George Allen, R-VA.
President Bush met with Rockey Vaccarella, Louisiana victim of Hurricane Katrina, to discuss rebuilding efforts there.
I think we call that potato bake
Good advice
Grits! Did a FReeper send them to you or do they have them in England now?
I have both types of toaster for dry items and the sandwich toaster with plates in it that cut the sandwich in half.
I also have the thing that you say similar to waffle iron it is actually sold in Britain as a Pancake maker but you can also do omlettes and toasted sandwiches in it. I have not tried that but it is good for your type pancakes.
Yes, the sandwich grills were out of favor here for awhile, too. We had a lot of years where people thought bread was bad. (I never gave up on it!)
Anyway, we used to grill ham salad (or bologna salad) sandwiches, cheese sandwiches, tuna sandwiches.
Hope you enjoy one soon!
If you visited Britain then you would have to watch if you ordered a ham or cheese salad in a restaurant for lunch because you would get something very similar to what I described.
Peas and ham and cheese and mayo I can imagine but noodles that to me seems a strange mixture though of recent years you can buy a made up salad with pasta in it.
bttt
I agree. He looks pretty good so far but I need a little more convincing on foreign policy. I probably would with anyone. But on the rest of the issues, he looks good.
I hear ya. I've been busy, and recently had surgery.
Things happen, and when it rains, it's a veritable torrent.
Yes. I always hated the sandwich maker that cut the bread in triangles. That makes puffy pockets. I don't like it.
It sounds like your pancake maker is what we call a sandwich maker. If you flatten it out so there are two surfaces, you can make pancakes. If you put the sandwich on one side, and close it, you get a great grilled sandwich.
He's lived in MA since the 70's, except for the Olympics bit, and not the typical variety pol in MA, that's for sure. He seems a strong candidate, but I think there is some squishiness about abortion with him.
That is ringing bells now with me years ago executives took bags out of brief cases at lunch time.
Nowadays there is not the stigma about it and they quite happily put the lunch box into the fridge at work in fact it is amazing for a place that only employs about 25 people we have 3 fridges, 2 toasters and a microwave pluse and several storage cupboards so people can bring stuff in and keep it fresh.
Good night
I'm glad he said it and glad it was played!
The lefties need to hear more Pro Bush folks...& I already knowyou agree, I'm just sayin', in reply.
Yes. I agree. I think he may have more foreign policy experience than most expect because of all of the problems he faced cleaning up the Olympics. That took a lot of negotiating with other countries.
He's not in the limelight now, and I think that is probably a smart move on his part.
WV Nan sent them to me a while back when we did not cultural exchange of food.
I tried them with just butter the first time and on their own they were OK but she advised to try with cheese and serve with bacon.
So did not know what I fancied for tea/dinner tonight so tried it and I enjoyed them very much.
I am not sure if we can get them in Britain or not we do have polenta which I am not sure if that is similar.
You can also put baked beans in the sandwiches as well
She is excited to see the sites in the nation's capital. It looks like she will be joining us at Walter Reed Friday night! WooHoo!
She said to tell everyone "Hello" and she probably will not have access for the next 5 days!
Maybe she will hold "your" sign LUV W!
Hopefully will have a bit more time this weekend - take care hope you soon heal from surgery
