The president spoke with UN SG Kofi Annan about the international force being assembled for Lebanon; the Iranian regime's statement on its nuclear program; and the need to improve the situation in Darfur. He attended a fundraiser for Senator George Allen, R-VA.
President Bush met with Rockey Vaccarella, Louisiana victim of Hurricane Katrina, to discuss rebuilding efforts there.
That is similar to what my friend at work is paying but I am paying double that I need to sort it out.
:0)
Night
Maybe there will be access to a fridge at the Pentagon that the office you are based in can use. We have a fridge at work that we can leave stuff in and then make sandwiches, toast even a microwave if we want to heat something up.
I toast my bread in a toaster and then put it under the grill or even toast the bread under the grill but because my grill is electric is fairly slow.
A question in Britain gas cookers (stoves) are more popular than electric mainly because the burners are quicker and more controllerable but American recipes always seem to indicate temperatures in F so do you not have gas cookers?
Years ago, "blue collar" workers took lunch boxes with them - so did most school kids.
White or pink collar workers didn't want to be grouped with those, so they took their lunch in paper bags.
Now we use the phrase "brown bag" when we mean "take your lunch", no matter what it is carried in.
It's a status thing, although probably few remember that.
Hmmm...maybe. I'll have to ask about that.
Right now with you.
Toaster cheese for me is your grilled cheese
Toasted cheese sandwich is the same as I call toasted cheese sandwich only I do mine in a sandwich maker.
Good girl - I knew you would be sensible but just checking course I care :0)
Maybe that is why sausages are popular in Britain because we can get quite mild ones almost as mild as frankfurters but IMHO a better taste.
I add a tablespoon of white vinegar to the cold water before it heats up, add the eggs, med. boil uncovered for about 15-20 mins., plunge in ice water. Shell comes off like buttah.
Capers ;)

Cheese Grits
Not knowing what cheese whiz is did not use it but put a kraft single slice in instead nor did I use cayanne pepper or garlic powder. I just did the grits with water added the slice of cheese half way through and then 1/2 oz of strong chedder grated when cooked and stired well.
Thanks for the tip on how to avoid the green rim.
I like ham in mine at well. The sandwich maker/toasters were very popular about 15 - 20 years ago they went out a bit but have made a comeback recently - I do have one but rarely use it.
You have given me taste for doing one tomorrow.

He's really not a MA type. I don't know how he managed to get elected there, but they've always done strange things in MA. He did a great job saving the Olympics; I think what he did with health care in MA might have been the best deal any governor has ever managed to get; and he's taken over the "Big Dig". I'm not disturbed because he's a Mormon - he's not into polygamy and other extremes of that church, but he does represent the moral values of most of us.
I need to hear more, of course, esp. about foreign policy, but I think he's solid.
Hello long time no speak have been tied up the last few week ends and have only had chance to quick peruse the singles thread.
