I guess that you could call this a vanity but it affects everyone in California and beyond! It is CRITICAL that we make our voices heard on this issue!
The situation is this: Bill SB 1437, was passed and sent to the governor. It requires all textbooks to be rewritten and reissued at a cost that our school system, not to mention taxpayers, can little afford. They will indoctrinate schoolchildren with a homosexual agenda.
The bill requires that all new textbooks (k-12) highlight homosexuals and eliminate all references to mom and dad.
The governor is doing a phone poll. Please make your opinion known. It's very easy, you don't even have to talk to anyone. Just follow the instructions below:
Please call the governor's office at 1-916-445-2841. The phone recording will ask:
A. Do you want this message in English? yes, press 1
B. Is this in regards to a legislation bill? yes, press 2
C. Is the bill SB 1437? yes, press 1
D. Are you in favor of this legislation? If no, press 2
It takes less than 30 seconds to make the call and to express your opinion.
Please feel free to pass this message along to your friends.
Why is B a press 2?
D. Are you in favor of this fabulous legislation? If no, press 2

Done ... hope it helps.
Thanks! You don't seem dumb to me!
Don't you have the 'Freep This Poll' ping list?
Done!
BUSY!!!!
Hope this bodes well.
"GLBT" - the sound a gay frog makes.
I know it took quite a few redials to get in. I hope this is because of conservatives calling and not the other way around. I know how organized the gay supporters are. We will need to really get this out so Gov. S gets a resounding NO! NO! NO!!!!
Done. Hope it helps. You can bet that all the turd burglars will be calling too. Who is more passionate on the issue?
"Hurry! Run and tell all the girls to press 1. We can't let Governor Arnold force the hetero agenda on us. Then come back here so I can press U."
Please, stop making conservatives look like hysterical hyperboleans. This legislation does NOT prohibit "Mom and Dad" or anything else heterosexual from being used in textbooks. If you object to this virtually no-effect bill, go ahead, but do so with an understanding of what it actually does: clarifies the law as it already exists in California. I live here. We've had laws providing "equality" or "protection" in many areas for fegalas for a long time. Hasn't changed day-to-day life one bit.
This happens anyway. Where have you been?
FRmail me or dynachrome if you want to be added or removed from the Freep this Poll! Ping list. And be sure to ping us to any polls that need Freepin', if we miss them.
Assuming the word fegalas was either a typo or a local idiom for homosexuals the supposition that things haven't changed since homosexuals have been mainstreamed by a liberal legislature and executive could not be further from the truth.
Even the two areas in California with the highest concentration of homosexuals (#1-City/County of Sacramento, #2-City/County of San Francisco), which had an orderly tolerance pre-AB 1400, have seem some startling developments as the homosexual community grows bolder with each new protection.
As for the portrayal of the extent of the legislation, I'm in agreement. It not a watermark event. Just another, incremental attempt to sanforize biological and social deviancy. I'm surprised that state legislators on both sides of the isle have reacted with such vibrato over SB 1827. Liberals have the political power to pass the legislation and conservatives don't. Neither is going to sway the other and the rhetoric is wasted by both sides.
I just tried, and the line was busy. Hope that means the sane people in CA are overwhelming the phone lines...Thank you SO much for the ping. And, I will keep trying.
List/s!
Thank you for this ping! I finally got through.
