Only one commercial can top the sheer hatred our readers have for the winner of this year's worst-commercial contest. Yes, only creepy, toenail-snapping Digger the Dermatophyte is more hated than the horrendous repetition that is this year's winning loser, the HeadOn headache remedy commercial.
In case you haven't seen it (you can find it on YouTube, but really, why would you want to?), the commercial is as insanely simple as it is annoying. A female voice repeats "HeadOn: Apply directly to the forehead!" three times as a blissed-out smug woman rolls what appears to be a Bonne Bell LipSmacker on her head.
What in the name of a glue stick in disguise is going on there? First off, does anyone believe that this works any better than, say, rubbing your head with your hand? Who decided that a commercial where only the product name and tagline are repeated over and over was good advertising? What kind of drugs is the model in the ad actually on? And does anyone know anyone who has ever, ever used this product, or seen it for sale anywhere outside these ads?

Actually, Bob doesn't have erectile disfunction -- the product is supposed to make a man... uh... bigger.
The FDA won't let you say that without proof, so much like the HeadOn ad, there are no specific claims made in the ad.
You will. It's not that great really.
Those commercials are pretty creative actually, considering the topic. The other ED commercials are sappy and gay, IMO.
Try this one.

Love it.
OMG. I hate that one too.
My son has a copy of that music on his mp3 player and plats it when somebody does something really stupid.
The people who make these commercials think that if they annoy you enough, or are obnoxious enough, or insult your intelligence enough, you will buy their product. They must all be Democrats.
It makes your wallet lighter.
I think it's for when you are in a head-on collision or something like that.
un huh.
I only have one thing to say about that "Head On" commercial...
Most.
Annoying.
Commercial.
Ever.
The drug company commercials are the most annoying, especially when the innumerable side effects are listed at blinding speed, taking up at least half the (occasionally 2 minute) ad.
So these days I mute nearly all commericials.
That is bordering on child pornography. It is very sick.

jeez, I'm glad to see this post. I thought something was wrong with me when I get so upset when watching that commercial. I switch channels immediately now when it comes on. I JUST HATE IT!!!!!! Her voice is irritating and reminds me of the voice on all the automated call systems at so many companies and organizations, doctor's offices, dental offices, customer service offices, government offices. That voice is so irritating that I just can not listen to it anymore. There is no way in hell I'll ever even consider buying that product.
