there is simply no question that Darwinism was a powerful influence on Nazi thinking.

There is no question that Christianity had a powerful influence on Nazi thinking as well.

I'll ask you the same question: Why so antagonistic toward God and those who follow Him? Did you have a bad experience with Christianity when you were younger? You really should reconsider the claims of Scripture, my friend.

Christianity was not a foundation of Nazi ideology at all. The Nazi's thought Christianity was soft and they despised it's teachings. The Nazi's were a combination of Atheists and Pagans. Germany was well into it's post-Christian phase by the time the Nazi's came to power.

That's an interesting position, considering Hitler had promised more than once to destroy Christianity before he was done.

That's a crock and you know it! Hitler tried to wiped out all the christian believers, the bible, and the jews.

Yes, they considered Christianity to be a gutter religion and sought to replace it with an Aryran-centric mythical religion

The idea that Hitler, because he had been baptized as a baby, could be considered in any sense a Christian is wholly unsupportable and false. In truth, Hitler despised the Christian religion and considered it, along with the pox, as the great scourge of mankind.

The book Hitler's Secret Conversations 1941-1944 published by Farrar, Straus and Young, Inc.first edition, 1953, contains definitive proof of Hitler's real views. When you read them, you can sense the real evil behind the madman.

For actual quotes from Hitler regarding his vehement opposition to Christianity:

Oh, let's not forget "Scientific Socialism," while we're passing around the genocidal hot potato.

Not at all. Stop making things up. The leaders were apostates. Nazism and Hitlerism murdered more Christians than any other group during their time (except the soul brothers the commies) including the muzzies.

I'm told vegetarianism had an influence on Nazi thinking.

Nazi's condemned Christ. They called Jesus the "illegitimate son of a Jewish woman". The waffen SS removed all symbols of religion during the French invasion.
Hitler promoted a pagan religion/cult of "Blood and Land".

There is no question that Christianity had a powerful influence on Nazi thinking as well.

Are we thinking of the same Nazis? The Nazis who tried to replace Christianity? The ones who tried to phase it out by pushing out a modified Bible to churches? The ones who, in the SS, replaced Christian ceremonies (i.e. baptism and communion) with Nazi abominations? The ones who persecuted Christians (yes, even to the point of sending some to concentration camps)?

Nazism was a direct assault on Christianity, not an offshoot.

Nazism was based on Paganism, not Christianity.

Wow! Just looked at some of your posts from other threads and for someone who claims to be vehemently against religious fundamentalism ("no American Taliban") you sure come across as a fundamentalist in your overriding disdain of religion. You know like those libs that just hate people that don't agree with them about the definition of hate. To hate hate - liberalism at it's most hypocritical.
