"Sorry John old buddy but we have some bad news for you, you will not be the nominee! We all loved Ronald Reagan and we all think the world of GW,you can't even carry their jock straps you are so lame, so just go away!"
My theory is that McCain and Lieberman will run on an Independent, national unity, ticket.

You need more than capital letters to make a good argument.

Can he not switch to the Dems in this case Of course, and he may very well do just that.
But, there's one thing that Joe has that 90 % of today's RATs don't have and that's patriotism and integrity. Those two qualities alone may keep him as an "I"...and I do think he is going to win.

Remember when the jealous hacks were asking Brit why FNC got the interview with Cheney after the accidental shooting.......and Brit said.....because we have more viewers!!
There is a reason why Brit Hume is the best of the best. It's called integrity.

McCain CANNOT win either the primary nor the General election. You would have a better chance or running Bush Sr again then you would with McCain in 2008. He is simply way to Old Boy Washington to win a National Election. Even on the Social issues he is playing kissy face with the Soro's pretend Republican pro Abortion groups. Sorry but you simply must make peace with this reality. I think McCain has adopted the Bob Dole strategy of "it's my turn." He thinks he's been towing the party line since 2000, being a good party player, and he expects the party to hand him the nomination. That completely ignores things like the gang of 14 betrayal of the Party leadership and White House on Judicial nominees that we will be paying for over the next few decades. He is also ignoring the effects of his own CFR legislation diminishing the inherent power of "the party."
I agree with your assessment. I just don't think he has a snowball's chance in hell.

I agree that I prefer Lieberman to Lamont and I realsie the Republican has no chance but I feel that as far as the wider picture is a Liberman win in reality is a Dem win apart from the WOT position.

If we leave Iraq it will be no different than what is happening in Lebanon. The terrorists are rearming and getting ready to attack Israel again.
What sane person would want to leave Iraq to the mercies of the terrorists there.

On the morning of 9/11 John McCain was in the DEMOCRAT senate leader's office at a strategy meeting. This according to John Kerry on Larry King's show.
What more would anyone need to know about McCain?

Brian Wilson has Victoria Toensing on re the Diggs Taylor decision. Kary Moss of the ACLU is on opposite. I am waiting to see blood on the floor when Vicky takes off after Moss.

#176,one of my favorite things to watch on TV is the Plastic Surgery before and after Programs. They show before, after and during, then they list how much it cost and what procedures they did. I do not think that Timmah ElRussert could get away with less than $300,000 billed to him for all that they would have to do to make him presentable. Liposuction alone on him could cost $150,000. He is developing a hunch/slouch from leaning into and hovering over Pubbies to give them the third degree. LOL!

#178 thanks for the Info, it is very helpful to have the Toll free Number, especially since they invariably put you on hold to try to dissuade you from complaining or saying words they do not want to hear. I just put it on speaker, then go about my Housework,or bill paying, whatever knowing it is not eating up my phone bill.

#184, I would love to caption that picture "Hey Helen I forgot to tell you I just cleaned the Toilet Bowl for Laura, and Gosh I forgot to use the Rubber gloves again". We could have used Helen as a really effective Scarecrow in our Gardens, she would scare off Sasquatch.

The base is sorely in need of some action. Exactly, and the things I mention are necessary for the future of the nation.
