You've got a bit of pomposity going there, don't you? I need no lessons from you in either English or armaments.

Indeed, Chuckie has a better shot on the next American Idol.

"Stab in the back" (since we seem to be dissecting metaphor on this thread) means to say one thing in support, then go back on it.
Please give me an example where McCain has failed to do what he said he would do.

Your defense of McCain is amazing. It reminds me of trying to disuade a teenage daughter from running with the town hood. She agrees, "yea, that's true, but...yea, that's true also, but... ". Forget reason. It also brings to mind Sancho Panza defending Don Quixote. ("I like him, I really like him...pull out my fingernails one by one, I like him..."). Good for you.

the next version of IE copies lots of things from FireFox, including removing the font size limitatin, or at least increasing the flexibility beyond what IE6 can do. They also steal tabbed browsing and lots of other things. It's due out as an automatic update sometime around the end of the year and will be built into Vista.

#149, I found that to very amusing. Hagel's facial expression reminds me of a beaten/abused coon dog that is rescued buy the Animal Rescue/Humane Society on Animal Planet. I will watch for the repeat and see if he looks like a surprised, beaten hound dog when Chris Wallace actually asks him a pointed question.

It is impossible to capitalize on the split within the Connecticut Rat party, because the current Republican nominee is BAD and only has 10% support from all voters. That is an insurmountable lag. Schlesinger (the nominee) has ethical problems and will not withdraw.
So, we are left with a choice between Lieberman and Lamont. I prefer Lieberman so as to cause the moveon.org pepople to pour all of their money into Connecticut. A win for Lieberman will also discredit the far left, which is good.
I wish the Connecticut Republican party had fielded someone better, but it didn't happen, so this is the situation we are stuck with.

Well, Miss Marple, I simply don't have that same feeling about him. While I have gotten really upset with him on a few things over the years, I see him as quite calm and stable today. He's had many opportunity in the past couple of years to jump ship and crack up. But this hasn't happened.
And, beside Rudy, what other GOP potential candidate has a serious chance of defeating Hillary or any other Dem? George Allen? Forget it. Others? There is no way I'll put time and effort into getting someone nominated who has no chance of winning a national race.

I don't think McCain cares one way or the other about global warming but it's an issue he can attack us on and win friends and supporters from the left who may hate Hillary. He's all spin, triangulating politics all the time and like Phsstpok said he will sell out the country for a banana split.

Gregory is going to keep asking if Iraq is a civil war until he gets someone, anyone, to say yes. "How badly did we miscalculate in Iraq." (Every question is a slam against the President, every one.) Has anyone asked these liberals what would happen if we left Iraq??
Has it ever dawned on them it will be another Somalia??
You know .. that place Clinton pulled out of and now where the libs are demanded that Bush go into fix

Johnny K can still say nothing in 5,000 words or more.
Spot on...I just listened to his chat with Steponallofus; another fifteen minutes of: "I'm Johhhhnn Kerrrrrry, and I can do a better job." Flipper and friends will not, or cannot, perceive the reality that President Bush spoke of, strongly at that, after the idiot judge's ruling on the NSA terrorist monitoring program.
No amount of talk with jaded foreign governments, Dim attempts at appeasement, or wishful thinking on the part of presidential wannabes will alter the fact that we are on a collision course with Iran etc..
In time the, American public will realize the value of the Iraq effort etc. in the overall war against the extremists that Dubya forcefully reminded us of this past week. The only issue in doubt is whether this realization will come before or after it is too late to avoid a terrorist strike with WMD on the homeland.
