Not all of the music is appropriate for children! We try to provide music for a wide range of listeners!

Section Theme: Flashback
15 Years Ago (1991 for those keeping track) these were some of the songs you'd hear on the radio! In 1991, no Xbox360, Satellite radios, PS2's, IPods, as a matter of fact...how did we ever survive?
Hey! They at least played more music on MTV!

Bryan Adams - Everything I Do (I Do It For You) As with any major *sappy love song* of the year, they overkilled this on the radio. So? Why not bring back those annoying memories for you? Hehe!
Amy Grant - Baby Baby A truly crossover year for Christian artists such as Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith.
Chris Isaak - Wicked Game Hey! Folks may not remember the song, but they most certainly remember the video. Hehe!

Londonbeat - I've Been Thinking About You

If this song is good enough for radu, it's good enough for everyone else. Enjoy!!
Mariah Carey - Emotions In spite of herself, she does have an amazing voice!
Tracie Spencer - This House Let's save the world, shall we? Oh wait! We've already done that twice! Next! If you are feeling guilty, listen to this catchy song and help the cause!
Extreme - More Than Words Let's continue our sappy love song theme, shall we? Actually, this song isn't nearly as annoying as the Bryan Adams song.
EMF - Unbelievable A very catchy song!
Damn Yankees - High Enough Great song!!
Boyz II Men - Motownphilly Very catchy and a lyrical autobiography about they started!
Michael Bolton - When A Man Loves A Woman MoJo swore she wasn't going to play another song from him ever again. Oh well! Enjoy!
The Scorpions - Winds Of Change A poignant song for changing events at the time!
Marky Marky & The Funky Bunch - Good Vibrations Calvin Klein underwear...NEXT! Ma's reading you know!
Aaron Neville - Everybody Plays The Fool Great remake!
LL Cool J - Around The Way Girl Before Marky flashing his tummy, there was LL Cool J!
Luther Vandross - Power Of Love Hello? It's Luther!
Bonnie Raitt - Something To Talk About Great song!

Section Theme: Flashback
20 Years Ago (1986 for those keeping score at home) these were the top songs!
When Pacman was still Pacman, and no one wanted to 3D the games! And MTV actually stood for Music Television! And their best group of VJs!
We would mention the gas prices in 1986, but there is no need to upset anyone!

**IMPORTANT**

For this weekend only, please ping MoJo2001 for all music requests. Our requests diva, laurenmarlowe, would love to do it but she's away with business. She'll return next week!

The point of having music at the top of the thread is to open the thread. It is by no means the most important part of the thread. The most important part of the thread is below. That is where you can enjoy music for our Troops, Veterans, Allies, and their family members by each of the Canteen Deejays. The selections are as diverse as the Deejays playing them. So? If you don't find something at the top of the thread, either request it or just keep scrolling. Thank you!

Requesting Music:
This weekend only please ping MoJo2001 for all requests. laurenmarlowe isn't sick or anything awful like that. Well, it is awful actually...she's *GASP* working. UGH! Mean bosses!

Does anyone have "Eddie My Love" by the Chordettes? It's circa 1956 and on the flip side of one of their other songs; not sure which one.

Thanks!

Great teamwork, DJs.

Great teamwork is right. After all the wine and cheese and going to a birthday party for the cutest 1 year little boy you have ever seen (my brother's grandson) I feel much better tonight

Just stopping by to say Hi! One of our "boys" is home for 30 days. He's been in Iraq and gave quite a little talk at church this morning. I call him one of our "boys", he was one of my husband's students. He's certainly gained a maturity he didn't have when he left. He witnessed the death of one of his buddies and saw some combat. I had to drag my youngest boy out to the car after church, he and several of the other kids had him surrounded peppering him with questions! He did say that the media isn't telling the true story and that the power of prayer is tremendous!

Thanks for stopping by, swmo.....please let your "boy" know how very proud we all are of him and his fellow soldiers, and that we pray daily for their safety and success of mission.

Howdy, tongue-tied

Since I am not on the computer during the weekends, I need to jump in now to thank you for your feedback. And, to ask you to pass on my heart-felt appreciation to all of the folks (our Allies included) where you are.

HUGS to all

Thank you Kathy dear. That was sweet of you!
Craig had a good birthday too!
Between me and his Auntie and his Grandparents he got everything he asked for. So, we are all blessed. :)
