This is just wrong, and is getting way out of hand. What are we going to do about it. Unconstitutional alright, but against our freedom of religion. It seems only Islam is protected in our country these days. Something is very wrong here.

A few more court decisions like this week's over a display of a Bible in Houston and the United States will be approaching the "China-level" for Christian persecution, according to a leader in the midst of that battle.

While I think half of the things Americans United challenges in the name of the First Ammendment are stupid, this hyperbole is not helpful.

In China Christians are imprisoned and tortured for professing their faith. I don't see that happening here anytime soon. Moslims can't even be imprisoned and tortured for planning to blow up buildings. (Not that I think they should be tortured.)

Shalom.

No matter WHAT your religion, every American should protest this. Tearing down our right to worship freely effects all of us, even those who choose not to worship.

This is, of course, an insane decision and the Supreme Court should strike it down in a trice. With Alito and Roberts, CJ, on the Court I believe it will do just that, narrowly.

Well in order to keep unity with the courts rulings we should tear down the Supreme Court Building along with many other historic buildings in D.C. as they contain many carvings of Biblical Figures and Symbols.

I keep seeing the ACLU mentioned in this thread. Anybody have a link showing they actually have anything to do with this?

More and more it appears that "separation of church and state" = "atheism is the state religion."

Is that really what the Founding Fathers intended? I don't think so. The time for massive displays of civil disobedience over this issue is almost at hand.

I remember when I was a kid in the 60's and there was talk of in the future Bibles would be against the law. I thought no way. That could never happen.

"For this panel majority of two justices to claim that words and actions by private citizens or elected officials with religious content, expressed about a building or monument, convert it from 'secular' and constitutional to 'sacred' and unconstitutional amounts to an act of blatant judicial activism against the freedoms and Constitution," the HAPC said.

Okay. This was just two scumbags. There's at least two scumbags on every court. This idiocy will be blown away when decided by the whole court.

Well, this article has reached a WorldNetDaily level of hyperbole--oh, that's why, never mind.

"Any kind of an event is okay, as long as you didn't express any religious faith. What is that telling you?"

That if the American experiment isn't dead, it's terribly close.

We have to get the judges out. This is NOT a country run by judges. It is a republic run by representatives ELECTED by the people.

"But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuig invariably the same Object (read, agenda) evinces a Design to reduce them (We the People) under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, TO THROW OFF SUCH GOVERNMENT.' (Declaration of Independence).

If the New York City Police Department can display a Koran, I don't think it's asking too much to have a Bible on display.

The answer to this ridiculous problem has become obvious. Change the name of Christianity to something else. Call it Islam, or Buddhism. Sure, the muzzies will piss and moan about it, but you've just totally undercut the liberal fascists. Now they can't discriminate against Christians, because they're Muslims. In name only, of course.

Have the church groups meet and pray at the ACLU offices until they are declared unconstitutional...
