An arrest in the JonBenet Ramsey case is due to happen "shortly," according to sources in our newsroom -- I know I can't post the link to our site (we're a Gannett station, and despite the "ban", I would welcome the traffic), but most of you know where I work and what the site is...
According to our sister station in Denver, an arrest took place early this morning in Thailand.
Stand by for details and updates as they come in.

"He never applied for a teaching license, certification or authorization here. A file was opened in his name, however, which may have been triggered by the submission of either test scores or fingerprints, signaling his intention to apply for a license. But Karr never did so."Source: Rocky Mountain News

It looks like he certainly might have considered working in CO, which could also indicate he was living there for a time.

Same here. So far, and I've gone through so many articles I'm almost cross-eyed, I haven't found the Aurora statement. Maybe I heard it on the news, and didn't read it. (Small personal gripe: sure wish FR had a word-search feature--other than in the title of the article.)

No, I'm not getting emotional about this thread. But I learned a long time ago on FR that it's useless to try to persuade people who have already made up their minds and are not interested in hearing the other side of the issue. If you are interested in the other side of this issue, I can probably find a link to that article about the meeting between police from Colorado and the FBI child crimes profilers.

Sure, send me the link. I haven't made up my mind about anything as I haven't seen/heard enough evidence to convince me one way or the other. Which is why I have a problem with people who have convinced themselves the parents were somehow involved. Do I have a gut feeling? Yep.

Well and good...child beauty pageants may not be acceptable for you or me (I don't have a problem with it)...BUT THAT FACT IN NO WAY EXCUSES OR JUSTIFIES HOMICIDE!
As has been said previously by many...a rapist's lawyer claiming that there are extenuating circumstances - the woman was wearing a mini and wild makeup and was drunk - does not excuse rape! The same logic holds in this case.

I agree.Law enforcement need to investigate into all of his activities in his life, including his family. I believe he has children, maybe he was molesting his children too.

According to his ex-wife (per MSNBC) she was only 16 when he "purposely" impregnated her, so that they could marry without parental consent.
Yuck.
She went on to say that she filed for divorce as a result of his "kiddie porn" predilections and that she had full custody of their three children, and he had limited, supervised visits. Also she told about how he had been fired from his job as a substitute teacher for being overly affectionate with the children.

It sure looks that way. Did you see his presser? He was positively creepy. "I love JonBenet. It was an accident." And (whispers) he had man boobs. A skinny guy with seriously high-waisted pants and man boobs. Ewwww.
