WHen I think about the "choice" those jumpers had to make.. OMG, it just breaks my heart!

LISTENING TO THE CUT AND RUN DEMOCRATS WHO WANT TO HAND THESE TERRORISTS A VICTORY AFTER THEY DID THIS TO INNOCENT PEOPLE makes my blood boil.

Point to ponder: if the USSR launched tactical nukes on the Vatican, Church of the Nativity, and Christian holy places in succession, will we -

A. Rollover and play "happy, happy commie slaves"?

B. Fight tooth and nail with everything we got?

I understand our anger, but the key point here is familial consent.

If the families consented, then the lawyers can't beep it out.

One of the victims I admired the most was one man who tried to climb all the way down.

I cannot imagine the scene that unfolded in that place.
I KNOW folks were frantically trying to find a stairwell that was passable even if it would be HELLISH trying to descend through fire, smoke and rubble. I cannot imagine trying every resource available and then realizing that there is NO HOPE of getting out alive. I think I would have jumped. Burning to death is one of my biggest fears in life. I pray that each and every one of them "fell" straight into God's arms that day.

I get sick to my stomach and mad as H whenever I think about that day.

After seeing this thread yesterday, I checked the news networks for more about these tapes. But every station was focusing on the JonBenet case.

I agree with you that these voices need to be heard. I would want my voice on tape released, if I were dying in those towers.

I'm guessing that "without their families' consent" means that some, if not all, families insisted their loved ones' voices be bleeped out.

I do wonder how many people out there would use the voices and the last words of those who perished on 9/11 in a mean manner. Remember the "pranksters" calling the police and claiming they were trapped under the rubble on 9/11? And I wonder how the Islamofascists or even just the DUers would use those voices. So, there's a flip side to the story, too.

I chose not to listen to the tapes. I don't need to see the planes crashing or hear the abject terror and frightful pain the victims were in to understand the stakes involved in this war. I hope that many other Americans, whether they remind themselves daily or not, will have that comprehension.

I am just as angry and upset as anyone here, but listen to the voice of reason. I am a Christian, first of all, but you should not make a blanket statement "killed by Islam". The people who terrorize and perform acts such as was done on September 11th are people who DISTORT the real message of Islam. They are extremists. The Islamic religion DOES NOT condone violence, killing, jihad, etc., nor even the wearing of veils by women. I am NOT excusing anyone. I am just saying that it's unfair to those Islamic people who are gentle and lawful and truly are appalled by what is going on in the Middle East by these dangerous extremists. There are extremists in every religion. There are mentally ill people who perform dangerous acts in the name of religion. Remember that lady who drowned her kids because she thought she was saving their souls? Would you say that Christianity killed them? It's the same principle here.

I know that many of you are going to slam me now, because you are misunderstanding my message. Those of you who are thinking people may agree with me. And despite all I have said, I do feel a chill whenever I see someone in America in Arab dress. Because you don't know which ones are the bad guys.

If not for islam this woman and many others would still be alive. Because of islam she's dead.

islam is anti-free thought and anti-self determination. Isilam is a political construct that by design seeks to kill and replace any other form of government it touches. islam has no place in America or any other country a free people.

I have several years to watch and study islam. My view of it is not distorted.
