LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln police on Monday morning arrested a man for the 226th time after, police said, he was breaking into vehicles.

"He's very well known to Lincoln police officers. He's a prolific career criminal," said Lincoln Police Chief Tom Casady.

Is there a Hall of Shame for over-achieving criminals like this guy?
Take him out back and shoot him?
Clinton has found a rival.
The paradox is that we are nation of laws and yet we are a lawless nation. Of course, at the crux of the paradox is the sheer number of vile lawmakers, lawyers, and morons wearing robes that we called judges.
Nebraska needs a make my day law
This one is a needin'

I once represented a prostitute that had 338 convictions for prostitution. And incredibly, no warrants on her rap sheet and no drug charges or anything else. Straight up, professional streetwalker. Got her 3 days community service.
I thought for sure this was George Michael hunting in the parks again, especially with the 226th time...

One would think her chosen profession is community service enough.
Here's a perfect example of what happens when authorities don't take career criminals seriously
As a matter of curiosity, how old was she? In other words, what kind of a time frame was it in which she'd been convicted 338 times; i.e., how long had she been pursuing that career?
Charge him rent.
She was in her late thirties and I believe her career started when she was in her early twenties.
Amazing. Assuming a career duration of around fifteen years (posssibly closer to twenty), that's about twenty-two arrests (convictions) per year, the pace sustained continuously over a decade and a half - or nearly one every two weeks. Even assuming a career duration of twenty years, the marathon would involve roughly sixteen arrests/convictions per year for the duration - still one every three weeks or so for her entire adult life. I wonder if that's some kind of record...
