We'll never kill 1 billion plus Muslims, with converts joining every day, everywhere.

Are you proposing that we round up and kill every single Muslim, all over the world, just because they are Muslims? If so, then you are proposing something that will shatter our Constitution. There are many American born blacks, who convert and also some whites. Muslims are not just Arabs and Pakistanis nor descendants of same.

OTOH, you are correct about this just being the beginning and that this is no war like any other that has EVER happened before.

UN is abolished or changed dramatically, we still have to use it to a point, so down the road we can say, heh we did everything we could diplomatically and it did not work.

Without the United States, the UN collapses. Just ignore it, nut up and act like a superpower. A nation fighting to the death in an international war on terrorism does not give terrorist factions time to regroup, rearm and refocus.

I think in his gut Bush actually believes that Islam is a religion of peace and that they can be trusted.

No, he believes what most of us do. He is simply doing what is currently accepted practices for dealing with issues like this. You must be aware of the intense criticism we are getting from the liberal media and foreign countries for allowing this to go as long as it did...The so called "green light BS".

Bush took it as far as he could, without totally upsetting the entire apple cart of international relations, and will take heat for some time to come, both domestically and internationally. Condi took a lot of hits as well.

The time will come, when we toss the useless U.N. and things will escalate.

It just is not ripe yet. But it will certainly ripen for some future president who will pull the trigger.

I believe it was the Israeli Cabinet that approved the UN Resolution 1701. It was a unanimous vote.

So Bush, by giving Hezbollah time to regroup, rearm and refocus, somehow aided the war? Israel was killing terrorists and the deal that Bush brokered made them stop.

We (meaning the US, Britain and Israel) cannot lose this war.

"Ceasefire" is doublespeak for "give me a second while I regroup/reload".

You seen to be of the opinion that Bush runs the Israeli government. It was they who accepted the terms of the cease fire, and helped negotiate it.

Realistically speaking, it was all they could get from the U.N., and if it fails, the U.N. credibility goes to zero, not Bush's.

Not so crazy after all.........is he.

intense criticism we are getting from the liberal media and foreign countries

All of whom have a vested interest in the United States losing this war.

The so called "green light BS".

If it is BS, say that it is BS and let Israel get on with killing terrorists.

But it will certainly ripen for some future president who will pull the trigger.

When will that be? Israel WAS pulling the trigger. THey were killing terrorists. Dead terrorists are a GOOD thing, this being a war against terror and all. Bush made them stop. He should take a lot of heat for that.

It has all been about Iran for many years before Bush.

Iraq is about Iran and was from the start.

Iraq is starting to have the intended results, but the nationalism stirred up by this nuclear confrontation is negating the expected cause and effect.

If the Iranian public does not revolt and replace the Mullahs, then all we will have left is plan B.

An interesting idea...but if that future president is Hillary that's not the action you can expect. And any future president other than or beyond Hillary will likely, like Bush, think it's best to wait until we have alternatives to the fuel that drives our economy. A president can survive many bad turns, but he cannot survive a depression.

The geopolitical climate will not allow a extended war in the middle East...

We have critical international relationships that were at risk. He took it as far as he could. They will never admit that publicly, and for good reasons.

It was a Democrat who rounded up a zillion Japanese Americans and interned them in camp[s, and a Democrat who dropped the first and only Nuke ever used in warfare.

I don't understand why exactly, but democrats escalate and start wars as Kennedy did and Johnson jumped in with both feet..

As history seems to indicate.

Correction, I do know why...........

They govern by polls. Public opinion is everything to a democrat. This is why they are so trigger happy.

Then let Israel get it over with quickly. This would have been over quickly had Hezbollah not been given the opportunity to regroup and rearm. Israel had the terrorists on the run. Not anymore.

And in the end, the entire world wide media condemns the attacks. Every single lousy reporter in the entire world and every limp wristed leftists condemns Israel-- and they whatever favor they thought they could gain in the world. Are they better off with the Hezbo's completely annihilated?

What matter world opinion when your enemy is crushed?
